Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of May 26

Russia continues massive attacks along the entire front line. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports over 180 combat engagements per day and updates the map of combat operations.
Russia launched one missile and 112 air strikes, using 84 missiles and dropping 189 guided bombs. It also used more than 3,000 kamikaze drones and nearly 5,000 attacks on Ukrainian positions and peaceful cities.
In response, Ukrainian aviation, artillery, and missile forces hit 8 areas of enemy manpower and equipment concentration, one UAV control center, and one enemy artillery system.
Sectors
In the Kharkiv sector, Russia attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders 6 times near Vovchansk, Stroyivka, and Krasne Pershne.
In the Kupiansk sector, Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled Russian assaults on Kruhliakivka and Nova Kruhliakivka.
In the Lyman sector, 21 Russian attacks were recorded. Russians tried to break through in the areas of Ridkodub, Zelena Dolyna, Novyi Myr, Serebrianskyi Forest, Hrekivka, Lypove, and Torske.
In the Siversk sector, Ukrainian Defense Forces stopped 6 Russian attacks near Bilohorivka, Verkhniokamianske, and in the direction of Hrykivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russia attacked 10 times in the direction of Predtechine, Bila Hora, Kurdiumivka, and Chasiv Yar.
In the Toretsk sector, 10 Russian attacks were registered near Toretsk, Romanivka, Dyliivka, and in the direction of Novospaske.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the most active battles are 63 assault actions near Kotliarivka, Malynivka, Lysivka, Udachne, Zvirove, Troitske, Yelyzavetivka, Andriivka, Nova Poltavka, Horikhove, Novomykolaivka, Shevchenko Pershyi, Zoria, Muravka, Oleksiivka, and Myroliubivka.
In the Novopavlivka sector, 24 Russian attacks were registered in the areas of Novopil, Kostiantynopil, Novosilka, Vilne Pole, as well as in the directions of Myrne, Komar, Zelene Pole, Bahatyr, and Shevchenko.
In the Huliaipole sector, there were no combat engagements.
In the Orikhiv sector, Russia tried to break through 5 times in the areas of Novodanylivka and Stepove.
In the Prydniprovskyi sector, Russia conducted 3 attempts to advance near Kozachi Laheri.
In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of Russian offensive groups were detected.
In the Kursk sector, Russia conducted 14 air strikes, dropped 25 guided aerial bombs, and fired 225 times, 13 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems. Ukrainian defenders stopped 26 Russian assault actions.
Russia's losses in war against Ukraine
Over the past day, the Russian losses amounted to 1,000 troops.
Ukrainian soldiers also neutralized 4 Russian tanks, 8 armored combat vehicles, 51 artillery systems, a multiple launch rocket system, 2 air defense systems, 264 operational and tactical drones, 53 missiles, and 92 units of Russian vehicles.
