Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of May 20

There were 91 combat engagements on the frontline since the beginning of the day on May 20. Russian troops remain highly active in the Pokrovsk sector, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In the Kharkiv sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled a Russian attack towards Stroivka.
In the Lyman sector, 16 combat clashes took place near the towns of Kopanky, Ridkodub, Novyi Myr, Hrekivka, Zelena Dolyna, Yampolivka, and Torske. 6 combat engagements are currently ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian troops attacked 6 times in the areas of Chasiv Yar, Kurdiumivka, and towards Predtechyno and Bila Hora. 2 combat clashes are currently underway.
In the Toretsk sector, Russian troops attacked 9 times in the areas of Druzhba, Petrivka, and Toretsk. 3 combat engagements are ongoing.
Russian troops are highly active in the Pokrovsk sector. 31 clashes of varying intensity started near the localities of Yablunivka, Novoolenivka, Malynivka, Shevchenko Pershe, Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Zvirove, Udachne, Novoserhiivka, Troitske, Kotliarivka, and Andriivka. 4 battles are still ongoing. Russia struck Berestok, Zoria, and Myrnohrad with guided aerial bombs.
In the Novopavlivka sector, Russia tried to advance 18 times in the area of Vilne Pole, Pryvilne, Zelene Pole, Kostiantynopil, Bahatyr, Burlatske, Vesele, and in the direction of Odradne. 6 combat clashes are ongoing. Russia struck Piddubne and Tolstoi with guided aerial bombs.
Russian troops twice tried to advance to the positions of Ukrainian defenders in the areas of Novoandriivka and Mali Shcherbaky in the Orikhiv sector, but were rebuffed.
In the Kursk sector, Ukrainian defenders are repelling the Russian attacks, with a total of 8 combat engagements recorded so far. Russia launched 8 air strikes, dropped 16 guided aerial bombs, and fired 139 artillery rounds, including 3 from multiple launch rocket systems.
Russia did not conduct active offensives on the Kupiansk, Siversk, Huliaipole, and Prydniprovskyi sectors.
