Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of April 30

As of April 29, 177 combat engagements took place at the frontline in Ukraine. Three areas are the most severe, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Most difficult sectors
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped 75 aggressor attacks in the areas of Stara Mykolaivka, Tarasivka, Shevchenko, Yelyzavetivka, Novotoretske, Lysivka, Uspenivka, Kotliarivka, Troitske, Nadiivka, and Andriivka.
In the Lyman sector, Russians attacked 21 times. They tried to advance near the settlements of Lypove, Nove, Novomykhailivka, Myrne, Zelena Dolyna, and Yampolivka.
In the Kursk sector, Ukrainian Defense Forces units stopped 25 Russian attacks over the past day. In addition, Russia launched 8 air strikes using 19 guided bombs, and also fired 250 artillery shells at the positions of Ukrainian troops and localities, including 19 from multiple launch rocket systems.
Other sectors
In the Kharkiv sector, Ukrainian troops stopped 2 Russian attacks in the vicinity of Vovchansk and towards Kamianka.
Russia attacked 9 times in the Kupiansk sector yesterday. Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled Russia's assault near Zahryzove, Stepova, Novoselivka, and in the directions of Petropavlivka and Nova Kruhliakivka.
In the Siversk sector, Russia attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders 4 times near Bilohorivka and Verkhniokamianske.
In the Kramatorsk sector, 13 firefights were registered in the areas of Mayske, Predtechyne, Bila Hora, and in the vicinity of Kurdiumivka and Chasiv Yar.
In the Toretsk sector, Russia conducted 6 attacks near Dachne, Toretsk, Krymske, and in the direction of Diliyivka.
In the Novopavlivka sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces stopped 13 Russian attacks on Ukrainian troops' positions near Kostiantynopil, Burlatske, Pryvilne, Rivne, and in the direction of Odradne.
In the Prydniprovskyi sector, the enemy conducted one offensive, which was unsuccessful.
Russia did not conduct any offensive actions in the Huliaipole and Orikhiv sectors.
In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of Russian offensive groups were detected.
Russia's losses in Ukraine
In total, Russia's losses amounted to 1,100 troops over the past day. Ukrainian soldiers also neutralized a Russian tank, an armored combat vehicle, 11 artillery systems, an MLRS, 112 operational and tactical drones, 179 vehicles, and nine units of special equipment of the Russian occupiers.
