As of 10:00 p.m. Kyiv time on April 27, there have been 123 combat engagements on the front. The most intense fighting has been recorded in the Pokrovsk and Kursk directions, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian shelling

Today, the enemy carried out 57 airstrikes on the positions of our forces and civilian settlements, using 106 guided aerial bombs, 785 kamikaze drone strikes, and over 3,700 artillery shellings.

Frontline situation

Russia is intensively attacking Ukrainian defenders in the Pokrovsk direction. Throughout the day, the Russian army carried out 42 assault and offensive actions. There has been high activity of Russian forces in the areas of the settlements of Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novoserhiiivka, Kotliarivka, Troitske, Novooleksandrivka, Novopavlivka, Bohdanivka, Andriivka, Bahatyr, Nadiivka, and towards Oleksiivka and Malynivka. Seven combat engagements are ongoing. Under the strikes of Russian KABs, Kostiantynivka and Zirka have been hit.

"According to preliminary estimates, today Ukrainian soldiers in this direction neutralized 222 Russian soldiers, 104 of whom were irreversibly lost. Our defenders also destroyed four vehicles, six motorcycles, three drones, and three UAV control antennas, in addition to significantly damaging two tanks and two enemy motorcycles," the report states.

Twenty-one combat engagements occurred in the Kursk direction, four of which are still ongoing. Over the day, the enemy carried out 262 artillery attacks, including nine from multiple missile launcher systems, conducted four airstrikes, and dropped seven guided bombs.

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy attacked our defenders' positions six times in the areas of Vovchansk, Krasnyi Pershyi, and Mala Shapkivka, with two combat engagements still ongoing.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy made three attempts to push our units from their positions near Nova Kruhliakivka, Petropavlivka, and Zahrizove, with one combat engagement continuing.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy launched 20 attacks, trying to advance near the settlements of Nadiya, Nove, Ridkodub, Kolodiazi, Yampolivka, Myrne, and towards Novyi Myr.

In the Siversk direction, our forces are repelling an enemy attack towards Verkhniokamianske.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the Defense Forces stopped 15 enemy attempts to advance near Chasiv Yar, Andriivka, Kurdiumivka, and in the directions of Maiske, Stupochky, and Bila Hora.

The enemy made seven attempts to break through our defense in the Toretsk direction in the areas of Ozoryanivka, Shcherbynivka, and Toretsk, with one combat engagement still ongoing.

In the Novopavlivka direction, our defenders stopped seven attacks in the areas of the settlements of Kostiantynopil, Pryvilne, Vilne Pole, and towards Odradne, with three combat engagements still ongoing. Novopil was hit by an airstrike with unguided air-to-ground rockets, and the enemy dropped KABs on Zelene Pole.

In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy struck Huliaipole, Malynivka, and Zaliznychnyi with unguided rockets.

In the Orikhiv direction, airstrikes with guided bombs targeted Orikhiv, Mala Tokmachka, and Prymorske. The enemy did not carry out any offensive actions.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, our defenders successfully repelled one enemy attack.

The day before, on April 26, there were 174 combat engagements on the front. On that day, the Russian forces doubled the number of assaults in the Pokrovsk direction and activated a new one, replacing the Kursk direction.
