Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of April 12

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informs that as of 10:00 PM on April 12 (Kyiv time), there have been 95 combat engagements since the beginning of the day. The most intense fighting has been recorded in the Kursk direction.
Enemy shelling
Today, Russian forces launched 87 airstrikes, dropping 158 guided aerial bombs. Additionally, they deployed over 800 kamikaze drones and carried out nearly 5,000 shelling attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas.
Frontline situation
In Russia's Kursk direction, 23 clashes have taken place since the start of the day, with one still ongoing. The enemy also carried out 405 shelling attacks, including 12 with multiple rocket launch systems.
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy launched airstrikes on the settlements of Zolochiv and Slatyne.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces launched attacks near Zahryzove and Nova Kruhliakivka, but Ukrainian defenders successfully halted two enemy attempts to advance.
In the Lyman direction, Russian forces launched 18 attacks on Ukrainian defense positions, targeting areas including Nadiia, Tverdokhlibove, Novomykhailivka, Katerynivka, and Novyi. They also struck in the directions of Olhivka, Hrekivka, Zelena Dolyna, Zarichne, and Torske.
In the Seversk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled two enemy assaults toward Hryhorivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy launched assaults on Ukrainian positions near Chasiv Yar, Predtechyne, and west of Andriivka. Ukrainian forces successfully repelled nine of these attacks.
In the Toretsk direction, the Russians attacked Ukrainian units eleven times in the areas of Dachne, Diliivka, Shcherbynivka, and Toretsk. One clash is still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy has attacked areas including Kalynove, Yelyzavetivka, Uspenivka, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Novoserhiivka, Troitske, Kotliarivka, Preobrazhenka, Sribne, and Andriivka. Ukrainian defenders have stopped 20 enemy assault attempts, and two clashes are still ongoing.
"Today, according to preliminary data, 255 Russian troops were neutralized, with 120 of them confirmed as irreversible losses. Ukrainian forces destroyed one tank, nine vehicles, three UAV control points, three motorcycles, and a mortar, while also damaging seven Russian artillery systems," the General Staff reports.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy tried to break through Ukrainian defenses four times near Kostiantynopil and towards Shevchenko. Voskresenka was hit by an airstrike.
In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy targeted the settlement of Huliaipole.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy launched one offensive near Mali Shcherbaky. Ukrainian forces successfully repelled the attack.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions four times but failed to succeed.
Frontline update as of March 11
On the previous day, April 11, there were 149 combat engagements recorded on the frontline. The Armed Forces of Ukraine struck 11 areas where enemy forces were concentrated.
