Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of April 7

Over the past day, 165 combat engagements were registered along the entire frontline in Ukraine. One of them took place in the Prydniprovskyi sector, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Yesterday, Russia launched a missile attack on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas using 23 missiles, as well as 90 air strikes, including 158 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it carried out more than 5,600 attacks, including 149 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 2,112 kamikaze drones to attack.
Russia carried out air strikes, in particular, in the areas of populated areas:
- Krasnopillia, Turia in Sumy region;
- Berezivka, Kozacha Lopan, Zolochiv, Dvorichanske in Kharkiv region;
- Berestok, Pokrovsk, Zoria, Hrodivka, Kotlyne, Novopavlivka, Odradne, Komar, Myrne in Donetsk region;
- Huliaipole, Novopavlivka, Orikhiv, Novoandriivka in Zaporizhzhia region.
Sectors
2 combat clashes took place in the Kharkiv sector yesterday in the area of Vovchansk and in the direction of Kamianka.
8 Russian attacks were registered in the Kupiansk sector over the last day. Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled Russia's assault near Pishchane, Nova Kruhliakivka, Bohuslavka, and Zahryzove.
Russia attacked the Lyman sector 22 times. It tried to advance near the settlements of Novoiehorivka, Nove, Kolodyazi, Yampolivka, Nadiia, and in the directions of Novomykhailivka, Novoserhiyivka, Torske, and Ridkodub.
In the Siversk sector, 2 combat clashes took place near Bilohorivka yesterday. All of Russia's attempts to advance were successfully repelled by Ukrainian defenders.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian occupants did not conduct any active offensives.
In the Toretsk sector, Russia carried out 18 attacks in the areas of Dachne, Dyliivka, Toretsk, and Leonidivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian troops stopped 53 attacks near the towns of Sukha Balka, Kalynove, Udachne, Sribne, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Kotliarivka, Preobrazhenka, Andriivka, Bohdanivka, Vodiane Druhe, Kotlyne, and Uspenivka.
In the Novopavlivka sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 9 Russian attacks near Rozlyv, Kostiantynopil, Vesele, and Burlatske.
Russia attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders 3 times, in the areas of Pryvilne and Vilne Pole in the Huliaipole sector.
In the Orikhiv sector, in the areas of Shcherbaky, Mali Shcherbaky, and Kamianske, Russian invaders conducted 4 futile attacks on the positions of Ukrainian defenders.
Russian attempt to reach Ukrainian positions was repelled by Ukrainian defenders in the Prydniprovskyi sector.
In the Kursk sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 35 Russian attacks yesterday. Russia conducted 212 artillery attacks, 13 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems. Also, 16 air strikes were carried out, during which 27 guided aerial bombs were dropped.
There were no signs of Russian offensive groups forming in the Volyn and Polissia sectors.
Russian losses
Ukrainian soldiers are inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment on the Russian occupation forces, actively undermining Russia's offensive potential in the rear.

In total, Russia's losses amounted to 1,350 invaders yesterday. Ukrainian soldiers also neutralized 13 Russian tanks, 25 armored combat vehicles, 31 artillery systems, 2 multiple launch rocket systems, 28 operational and tactical drones, 15 missiles, 70 vehicles, and a unit of special equipment.
