Since the beginning of the day on April 6, there have been 75 combat engagements at the front. Russian forces are putting the most pressure on Ukrainian positions in the Pokrovsk direction, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the General Staff, on Sunday, April 6, Russian artillery shelling targeted the areas of Prokhody, Mariyne, Myropilske, Velykyi Prykil, Petrushivka, and Kucherivka in the Sumy region, as well as Klynova Novoselivka in the Kharkiv region.

Additionally, Russian aviation carried out airstrikes with guided bombs on the areas of the settlements of Turia and Krasnopillia in the Sumy region.

Frontline situation

In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, Russian forces have made 29 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of Sukha Balka, Kalynove, Udachne, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Kotliarivka, Preobrazhenka, Andriivka, and Bohdanivka. Ukrainian forces have held their ground, repelling 21 enemy attacks. Russian airstrikes also hit the settlements of Berestok and Pokrovsk.

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy did not carry out active offensive operations, but airstrikes targeted Berezivka, Kozacha Lopan, and Dvorichanske.

In the Kupiansk direction, the Russians attacked Ukrainian positions twice near Pishchane, and fighting is still ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy launched 11 attacks on Ukrainian positions in the areas of Novoyehorivka, Novyi, Kolodiazi, and Yampolivka, as well as in the directions of Novomykhailivka and Torske. Currently, five combat engagements are underway.

In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces tried to push Ukrainian units from their positions in the areas of Dachne, Diliivka, Toretsk, and Leonidivka. Ukrainian troops successfully repelled seven Russian assaults, with three more engagements still ongoing.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian forces repelled three Russian attacks near the settlements of Rozlyv and Kostiantynopil. One attempt to storm Ukrainian positions has already been stopped.

In the Huliaipole direction, Ukrainian units repelled two attacks near Pryvilne.

In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders successfully stopped three enemy attacks near Shcherbaky and Kamianske. The settlements of Novopavlivka, Orikhiv, and Novoandriivka were hit by airstrikes with guided bombs.

In Russia's Kursk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled nine enemy attacks, with six more ongoing clashes. Additionally, the enemy launched 93 artillery strikes on Ukrainian positions and settlements, including 13 from multiple rocket launch systems. They also carried out five airstrikes, dropping 11 guided bombs.

In the Siversk, Kramatorsk, and Prydniprovskyi directions, the enemy did not conduct active offensive operations.

The enemy's losses

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has lost over 923,000 personnel. Over the past 24 hours, from April 5 to April 6, the Russian army lost 1,330 soldiers, four multiple launch rocket systems, and 56 artillery systems.
