Over the past day, from April 5 to 6, the Russian army lost 1,330 soldiers, four multiple launch rocket systems, and 56 artillery systems on the front line, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to April 6, 2025, are estimated to be:

  • personnel - about 922,670 (+1,330) Russian troops were eliminated;
  • tanks - 10,554 (+13);
  • troop-carrying AFVs - 21,972 (+20);
  • artillery systems - 25,786 (+56);
  • MLRS - 1,354 (+4);
  • anti-aircraft systems - 1,124;
  • aircraft - 370;
  • helicopters - 335;
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 31,846(+68);
  • cruise missiles - 3,123;
  • warships/boats - 28;
  • submarines - 1;
  • vehicles and fuel tanks - 43,050 (+96);
  • special equipment - 3,789 (+1).

Situation on the front line and Russia’s missile strike

According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Ukrainian defense forces have made gains near Kupiansk, but Russian troops continue to put pressure on three fronts.

Overnight, Russian forces carried out a combined attack on Ukraine using drones and missiles.

On Saturday evening, air raid alerts were declared in multiple regions due to a large-scale UAV attack.

At 2:00 a.m., the aggressor's military launched Kalibr cruise missiles toward Ukraine from the Anapa area.

Around 5:00 a.m., Russian forces struck Kyiv with ballistic missiles. Destruction and fires were reported in three districts of the capital.
