Across all of Ukraine, an air raid alert was declared on the night of April 6 due to the threat of missile strikes. Russians carried out a missile attack, according to the Air Forces of Ukraine.

The military informed about the threat of enemy airstrikes using missile weaponry at 01:43.

"Missile threat for the southern regions!" – the Air Force stated on their Telegram channel.

Leaders of regional military administrations in the southern areas urged residents to stay in shelters due to the threat of a missile attack by the enemy.

After this, the military reported an enemy missile strike.

"A missile from the Kherson region heading towards Mykolaiv region on a northwest trajectory!" – the Air Force reported.

They later added, "Missile threat in the regions where air raid alerts have been declared!"

Prior to the attack, monitoring groups on social media reported possible launches of Kalibr-type cruise missiles by Russian occupiers from the Black Sea.

Around 02:25, monitoring groups began reporting that several Russian Tu-95MS strategic bombers had allegedly taken off from the Olenya airfield. According to unconfirmed reports, they were heading towards the Caspian Sea, possibly for missile launches.

Missile movement after attack

At 1:56 AM, the Air Force reported that enemy missiles were being detected in the eastern part of Mykolaiv region, moving in a northwest direction.

Later, the military reported that the missiles from Mykolaiv region were heading towards Kirovohrad region.

A missile was detected in the eastern part of Dnipropetrovsk region, heading northwest. Missiles in the northern part of Kirovohrad region continued moving toward Cherkasy region. Residents of Uman were urged to stay in shelters.

Missiles from Cherkasy region were heading toward Vinnytsia/Kyiv regions. It was later reported that missiles in Vinnytsia region were moving towards Khmelnytskyi/Zhytomyr regions. Residents of Starokostiantyniv and Zhytomyr were urged to stay in shelters.

At 02:37, the Air Force reported that new missiles from Kherson region were heading towards Mykolaiv region. Later, the military stated that enemy missiles were being detected in the southern part of Kirovohrad region, moving northwest.

Explosions heard in Kyiv, Air Defense active

At 02:13, the Head of the Kyiv Military Administration, Timur Tkachenkov, reported that air defense forces were operating in the capital. Explosions were heard in Kyiv at this time.

"The air defense forces are working to eliminate the threat in the sky over Kyiv," KMVA reported.

Residents of Kyiv are asked to stay in shelters until an official signal is given to lift the alert.

“Air raid alert continues. Missile attack! We urge everyone to stay in shelters. Air defense is operating in the region,” the Kyiv Regional Military Administration said.

Around 3:30 AM, the Kyiv City Military Administration again urged residents and guests of the capital not to leave shelters, as the threat of an air attack persisted.

At that time, several explosions were heard in the Kyiv area.

“Air defense is actively operating in Kyiv. For safety reasons, we strongly recommend staying in shelters until the official announcement of the all-clear,” the administration’s statement reads.

All-clear declared

Around 4:00 AM., air raid alerts were lifted in some regions. Initially, the all-clear was announced in parts of the western regions, and later in the southern and central parts of the country.

At approximately 4:20 AM., the all-clear was also declared in Kyiv and the surrounding region. It was also announced that the alert had been canceled in most parts of the country, with only the eastern regions still marked in red on the map.

Nighttime combined airstrike

That night, Russian forces launched strike drones towards Ukraine again, prompting air raid alerts in several regions. Reports of explosions and the operation of air defense systems were received due to the drone attack in multiple regions.

Explosions occurred in Mykolaiv on Saturday evening amid a drone attack. Local authorities confirmed that the city was under enemy drone attack.

In Mykolaiv, a fire broke out in two residential buildings as a result of a Shahed drone attack, with damages recorded in the private sector. The Regional State Administration and the local municipality confirmed that three women were injured. The State Emergency Service showed video and photos of the aftermath of the Russian drone attack on Mykolaiv.
