As of 10:00 PM, March 23 (Kyiv time), there have been 118 combat clashes along the frontline throughout the day. The heaviest fighting was recorded in the Pokrovsk direction and the Kursk region, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Enemy shelling

Today, Russian forces carried out 59 airstrikes, using 74 guided bombs. Additionally, the Russians deployed 1,041 kamikaze drones and conducted 4,792 shelling attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy launched a single attack toward Vovchansk today.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy carried out four assaults on Ukrainian positions in the areas of Zahryzove, Petropavlivka, and Bohuslavka. One combat clash is still ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, since the start of the day, Russian forces have launched 11 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Yampolivka. They also targeted the areas of Novyi, Novomykhailivka, and Zelena Dolyna. Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled all of the enemy's assaults.

In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian forces halted five Russian offensive actions near Bilohorivka, as well as in the directions of Ivano-Dariivka and Verkhniokamianske.

In the Kramatorsk direction, two combat clashes were recorded near Orikhovo-Vasylivka and Chasiv Yar. Ukrainian forces repelled both attacks.

In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces launched 17 attacks on Ukrainian positions. The main focus of the enemy’s assault was in the areas of Toretsk, Shcherbynivka, and Diliivka. Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled all attacks.

In the Pokrovsk direction, since the start of today, Russian forces have attempted to break through Ukrainian defenses 50 times near the settlements of Panteleimonivka, Vodiane Druhe, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Andriivka, Kotlyne, Uspenivka, Bohdanivka, and in the direction of Serhiivka. Seven combat clashes are still ongoing. Airstrikes have hit Pokrovsk, Oleksandropil, Nova Poltavka, Malynivka, and Hrodivka.

“The Defense Forces are holding back enemy assaults. The enemy has suffered significant losses — today, 227 Russians were eliminated in this direction, 119 of them permanently. Additionally, 13 vehicles, an armored combat vehicle, a UAV antenna, a buggy, a satellite terminal, a motorcycle, and an enemy gun were destroyed. Furthermore, a tank, an armored combat vehicle, three vehicles, a multiple rocket launcher, and two enemy guns were severely damaged,” the General Staff reports.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian units repelled seven enemy assaults on military positions near the settlements of Kostiantynopil and Rozlyv. One more enemy attack is still ongoing.

In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy was repelled three times while attempting to advance near Novopil and Novosilka. Unguided rockets were used to target the areas of Huliaipole, Novodarivka, Novosilka, and Zaliznychne, while guided bombs struck Zelene Pole.

In the Orikhiv direction, the settlement of Mala Tokmachka was hit by an airstrike.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy did not carry out any active offensive actions.

In Russia's Kursk direction, Ukrainian forces continued operations, where the enemy launched 17 assaults on Ukrainian positions throughout the day. The enemy carried out 10 airstrikes, dropped 11 guided bombs, and conducted 266 artillery shellings, five of which were from multiple rocket launchers.

There were no significant changes in other directions of the frontline.

As a reminder, on the previous day, March 22, 147 combat clashes were recorded along the frontline. In particular, Ukrainian forces repelled 44 enemy assault actions in the Pokrovsk direction.
