There were 140 combat engagements at the frontline since the beginning of the day on March 9. The enemy was most active in the Pokrovsk direction and in the Kursk region, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, since the start of the day, Russian forces have carried out 55 airstrikes, dropped 68 guided bombs, launched 1,239 kamikaze drone strikes, and carried out 4,835 artillery shellings of Ukrainian positions.
In the Kharkiv direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled five enemy attacks near Vovchansk. The enemy also carried out airstrikes on the settlements of Prudianka, Vovchanski Khutory, and Slatyne.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces launched four attacks on Ukrainian fortifications near Lozova, Petropavlivka, and Zahryzove. The Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully repelled all of them.
In the Lyman direction, Russian forces carried out 11 assaults on Ukrainian positions in the areas of the settlements of Balka Zhuravka, Novoliubivka, Myrne, Ivanivka, and Yampolivka throughout the day. The fighting continues.
In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 20 enemy attacks today. Russian forces are trying to advance in Bilohorivka, Verkhniokamianske, and Serebrianka. The fighting is ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled four enemy attacks near Chasiv Yar, Hryhorivka, and toward Stupochky and Bila Hora.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy launched 17 attacks on Ukrainian positions in Toretsk, Druzhba, and Dachne. Combat clashes are ongoing in four locations.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces carried out 31 assaults on Ukrainian defensive positions throughout the day. Russians' highest activity remains in Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Dachenske, Kotlyne, Nadiivka, Preobrazhenka, Andriivka, and Ulakly. The enemy also carried out airstrikes on the settlements of Zoria, Popiv Yar, and Udachne.
According to preliminary estimates by the General Staff, since the beginning of the day in this direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have eliminated 104 and wounded 82 Russian personnel. Additionally, they destroyed three tanks, four armored combat vehicles, six vehicles, two UAVs, and four UAV control antennas. Furthermore, Ukrainian forces caused significant damage to a tank, two guns, two armored combat vehicles, and a Russian vehicle.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy attempted to break through five times near the settlements of Skudne, Burlatske, and Kostiantynopil.
In the Huliaipole direction, combat clashes have concluded in Novopil and Pryvilne. Seven Russian attacks are still ongoing.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy attempted to advance four times near Stepove, Nesterianka, and Shcherbaky. One battle is still ongoing.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations.
In Russia's Kursk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 27 attacks from Russian forces. Additionally, the enemy launched 20 airstrikes, using 23 guided bombs, and carried out 365 artillery bombardments.
No significant changes occurred in other directions.
Enemy's losses
Notably, Russia’s total losses yesterday amounted to 1,180 soldiers.
Additionally, Ukrainian forces neutralized six tanks, 14 armored combat vehicles, 58 artillery systems, three MLRS, two air defense systems, 190 tactical-level UAVs, 142 vehicles, and one unit of special equipment of the enemy.
