Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of March 1

Over the past day of winter, 91 combat clashes occurred on the front lines in Ukraine. Specifically, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck 11 areas with enemy forces, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
"Yesterday, aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces hit 11 areas where enemy personnel and military equipment were concentrated, as well as three artillery systems and an enemy ammunition depot," the statement reads.
Situation on specific fronts
Over the past day, there was one enemy attack in the Kharkiv region near the village of Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk direction, two attacks by the occupiers took place. The Defense Forces repelled enemy assault actions near Zahryzove and Lozova.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked twice, attempting to advance near Ivanivka and Yampolivka.
Additionally, yesterday the enemy attempted to push Ukrainian forces from their positions with two assaults in the Bilohorivka and Verkhnokamyanske areas in the Siversk direction.
On the Kramatorsk direction, there were two enemy assaults near the village of Orikhovo-Vasylivka.
In the Toretsk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 16 attacks in the areas of Krymske, Dachne, Toretsk, and Leonidivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders halted 26 enemy assaults in the areas of Baranivka, Yelizavetivka, Promin, Lysivka, Novoukrainka, Pishchane, Kotlyne, Nadiivka, and Andriivka.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Defense Forces repelled eight enemy offensive actions. The enemy concentrated their efforts in the areas of Kostiantynivka and Skudne.
With the support of assault and bomber aviation, the enemy attempted three times to push Ukrainian forces from their positions in the Huliaipole direction, near Pryvilne and Rivnopillia.
In the Orikhiv direction, the occupiers carried out three attacks on Ukrainian positions near Piatykhatky and Kamianske.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the occupying forces did not conduct any active offensive actions.
In the Kursk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 18 enemy attacks. The enemy carried out 527 artillery strikes, including 18 from multiple rocket launchers, conducted 25 airstrikes, and dropped 31 KABs.
In the Volyn and Polissya directions, no signs of enemy offensive groupings were observed.
On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the enemy actively used artillery and aviation from the Russian Federation against Ukrainian settlements.
Russian losses in Ukraine
Over the past day, Russia's losses amounted to 1,050 soldiers. Ukrainian forces also destroyed 11 tanks, 15 armored combat vehicles, 61 artillery systems, one multiple launch rocket system, one air defense system, 128 UAVs, and 107 units of enemy vehicles.
