Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of February 28

Since the beginning of February 28, 60 combat clashes have taken place on the frontlines. The heaviest Russian attacks are concentrated in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The enemy attempted one assault on Ukrainian positions in the Vovchansk area in the Kharkiv direction but was repelled.
In the Lyman direction, Russian forces launched one attack on Ukrainian positions near Ivankivka, but Ukrainian forces successfully held their ground and inflicted losses on the enemy.
In the Siversk direction, the enemy launched two attacks on Ukrainian defenders near Bilohorivka and Verkhniokamianske. One clash is still ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled two enemy attacks near Orikhovo-Vasylivka.
In the Toretsk direction, 12 clashes have occurred in areas around Krymske, Dachne, Toretsk, and Leonidivka. Four are still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces made 15 attempts to push Ukrainian forces from their positions near Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Lysivka, Novoukrainka, Pishchane, Kotlyne, Nadiivka, and Andriivka. Ukrainian forces have repelled 12 attacks, with three clashes still ongoing. Enemy aviation also struck Zvirivka and Leontovychy with guided bombs.
In the Novopavlivka direction, six enemy attacks took place near Kostiantynivka.
Two enemy assaults were repelled by Ukrainian forces in the Huliaipole direction, near Pryvilne and Rivnopil. One fight is ongoing.
Russian airstrikes targeted Sychneve and Zaliznychne with guided bombs, while unguided missiles struck Huliaipole.
Three clashes are ongoing in the Orikhiv direction, where one attack has already been repelled. The enemy, with the support of assault aviation, is attempting to advance in the areas of Piatykhatky and Kamianske.
In the Kupiansk and Prydniprovskyi directions, Russian forces did not conduct active offensive operations.
In the Kursk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled four enemy attacks, with three clashes still ongoing. The enemy also carried out ten airstrikes, dropping 14 guided bombs, and conducted 333 artillery strikes on Ukrainian positions and settlements.
Russia's losses in the war
According to the General Staff, since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has lost more than 874,000 personnel.
Over the past 24 hours alone, the Russian army lost 1,060 soldiers. Also yesterday, the Defense Forces destroyed 13 tanks, 17 armored combat vehicles, 54 artillery systems and other enemy equipment.
