Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of February 28

Over the last day, February 27, 128 combat engagements took place in the frontline. Russians exerted the greatest pressure in the Pokrovsk and Novopavlivka directions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“Over the past day, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces of Ukraine hit one area of personnel concentration, 2 Russian air defense systems and three enemy artillery systems,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine writes.
Situation at front
In the Kharkiv sector, Russia tried 6 times to break through the defensive lines of Ukrainian defenders towards Vovchansk and Kindrashivka.
In the Lyman sector, Russians attacked 6 times, they tried to break into the Ukrainian defense near the settlements of Yampolivka, Torske, Zelena Dolyna, and Kolodiazi.
In the Siversk sector, Ukrainian troops successfully repelled 2 Russian attacks near Bilohorivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian occupants attacked twice in the areas of Vasiukivka and Predtechyne.
In the Toretsk sector, Russia carried out 11 attacks in the areas of Krymske and Toretsk.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped 49 Russian attacks towards Berezivka, Myrne, Promin, Lysivka, Pokrovsk and other localities.
In the Novopavlivka sector, Russia carried out 16 attacks in the areas of Kostiantynopil, Novopil, Novodarivka, Skudne and Burlatske yesterday.
In the Huliaipole sector, Russia attacked Ukrainian positions 6 times in the vicinity of Charivne.
In the Orikhiv sector, Russian occupation forces stormed the positions of the Defense Forces of Ukraine 9 times in the areas of Stepove, Piatikhatky and Kamianske.
Russia's losses in war against Ukraine
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has lost over 874,000 troops. Over the past day alone, Russian losses amounted to 1,060 occupants. Also, the Defense Forces of Ukraine destroyed 13 Russian tanks, 17 armored combat vehicles, 54 artillery systems and more.
