As of the evening of February 26, a total of 98 combat engagements took place on the frontline, with Russian forces launching 33 assault and offensive actions in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the General Staff, 98 combat engagements have occurred since the start of the day. Russian forces launched four missiles and 69 air strikes on Ukrainian positions and settlements, deploying four missiles, 84 guided aerial bombs (KABs), and 1,112 kamikaze drones. More than 4,000 attacks were carried out using various types of weaponry.

In the Kharkiv direction, Ukrainian forces repelled five Russian assault attempts toward Vovchansk, Stroivka, and Dvorichna. Enemy aviation dropped KABs on Vovchanski Khutory.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian troops attempted four times to dislodge Ukrainian units from positions near Petropavlivka and Zahryzove. One battle is still ongoing.

Russian forces launched five assaults in the Lyman direction, attempting to advance near Kolodiazi, Novolubivka, Hrekivka, and Zelena Dolyna. Ukrainian defenders repelled three attacks, while two battles were still ongoing.

In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian troops successfully repelled an enemy assault near Hryhorivka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the Defense Forces halted four Russian attempts to advance near Chasiv Yar, Novomarkove, and Stupochky.

Russian forces attempted nine times to breach Ukrainian defenses in the Toretsk direction, attacking near Toretsk and Krymske. Three battles are still ongoing.

The enemy is launching intense assaults on Ukrainian defenders in the Pokrovsk direction. Over the day, Russian troops carried out 33 assault and offensive actions, with the heaviest activity reported near Tarasivka, Novotoretske, Myroliubivka, Promin, Leontovychi, Kotlyne, Udachne, Nadiivka, and Uspenivka.

In this sector, Ukrainian forces eliminated 321 Russian troops, including 153 irrecoverable losses. Additionally, they destroyed 13 vehicles, two artillery pieces, and three motorcycles, while also heavily damaging a tank and nine more enemy vehicles.

In the Novopavka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 17 attacks near the settlements of Kostyantynopil, Rozdolne, Shevchenko, and Burlatske.

In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy carried out three assault actions toward Charyvne while also launching airstrikes on Huliaipole and Zaliznychne.

In the Orikhiv direction, two battles occurred as the enemy attempted to advance near Piatykhatky.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, no offensive actions were conducted by Russian forces since the start of the day.

Eighteen combat engagements took place today in the Kursk direction. Over the day, the enemy carried out 415 artillery strikes, including 35 from multiple rocket launch systems, launched 11 airstrikes, and dropped 13 guided bombs.

Russia's losses in the war

According to the General Staff, since the start of the full-scale war, Russia has lost over 870,000 personnel.

In the past 24 hours alone, Russian military losses amounted to 1,170 soldiers. Additionally, yesterday, the Defense Forces destroyed 19 tanks, 15 armored fighting vehicles, 34 artillery systems, and other enemy equipment.
