Over the past day, from February 25 to 26, the Russian army lost 1,170 soldiers, 19 tanks, and 120 unmanned aerial vehicles in the war against Ukraine, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat Russian losses from February 25, 2022, to February 26, 2025, are estimated to be:

  • personnel - about 870 700 (+1,1170) Russian troops were eliminated;
  • tanks -10,201 (+19);
  • armored personnel vehicles - 21,183 (+15);
  • artillery systems - 23,686 (+34);
  • MLRS - 1,299;
  • anti-aircraft warfare systems - 1,085 (+2);
  • aircraft - 370;
  • helicopters - 331;
  • UAVs operational-tactical level - 26,961 (+194);
  • cruise missiles - 3,064;
  • warships/boats - 28;
  • submarines - 1;
  • motor vehicles and tanks - 38,792 (+120);
  • special equipment - 3,759 (+2).

Situation on frontline and Russian air attacks

According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Ukrainian Defense Forces achieved success in the Kharkiv region. Meanwhile, Russian forces are advancing in four directions in Donbas and the Kursk region.

Last night, Russian forces once again attacked Ukraine with Shahed kamikaze drones.

Enemy drone strikes were recorded in Kharkiv, damaging residential infrastructure.

In the Kyiv region, a hostile drone hit a residential building, injuring a 19-year-old girl.
