Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of February 18

Over the last day, 139 combat engagements took place in the frontline. Russia put the most pressure on the Pokrovsk and Novopavlivka sectors, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“Over the past day, the missile troops and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit eight areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, air defense facilities, 6 missile troops, and artillery facilities, and 5 Russian radar/radar facilities,” Ukraine's General Staff writes.
Sectors
In the Kharkiv sector, Russians tried to advance twice in the area of Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk sector, 10 Russian attacks took place near the settlements of Topoli, Petropavlivka, Hlushkivka, Zahryzove, and in the direction of Novooosynove.
In the Lyman sector, Russians attacked 6 times near Zarichne and Yampolivka.
In the Siversk sector, Russia attacked near Bilohorivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian troops conducted 6 attacks in the area of Chasiv Yar.
In the Toretsk sector, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 5 Russian attacks near Toretsk.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Russia attacked 55 times in the areas of Myroliubivka, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Lysivka, Novoukrainka, Pishchane, Kotlynne and beyond.
In the Novopavlivka sector, 23 Russian attacks were repelled in the areas of Novosilka, Rivne, Novyi Komar, and in the directions of Kostiantynopil and Burlatske.
In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 2 Russian attacks in the areas of Shcherbaky and Nesterianka.
In the Kursk region, Ukrainian soldiers repelled Russian 13 attacks.
Russia's losses in war
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has lost over 861,000 manpower. Over the past day alone, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated about 1,170 more Russian troops and destroyed Russian 12 tanks, 12 armored combat vehicles, 53 artillery systems, and more.
