Over the last day, February 2, 97 combat engagements took place in the frontline. Most of the fighting was registered in the Pokrovsk sector, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“Yesterday, the missile troops and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit 18 areas of concentration of Russian personnel, weapons, and military equipment, 2 air defense systems, an electronic warfare system, an ammunition depot, 4 artillery systems, as well as 2 Russian control points,” Ukraine's General Staff writes.

Sectors

In the Kharkiv sector, 2 battles took place near Hatyshche.

In the Kupiansk sector, Russia attacked 18 times in the areas of Petropavlivka, Pishchane, Stepova Novoselivka, Bohuslavka, Zahryzove, and Lozova.

In the Lyman sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 8 Russian attacks near Novoiehorivka, Novoliubivka, Makiivka, Yampolivka, and in the direction of Serebrianka.

In the Siversk sector, 2 Russian attacks were repelled in the areas of Bilohorivka and Ivano-Darivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russians attacked 2 times near Predtechyne and Chasiv Yar.

In the Toretsk sector, Russia carried out 8 attacks in the areas of Toretsk and Krymske.

In the Pokrovsk sector, 39 Russian attacks towards the Zelene Pole, Tarasivka, Uspenivka, Yelyzavetivka, and beyond were stopped.

In the Novopavlivka sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled a Russian attack in the vicinity of Kostiantynopil.

In the Orikhiv sector, near the village of Kamianske, Russian invaders conducted one futile assault on the positions of Ukrainian defenders.

In the Kursk region, Russia attacked 12 times.

Russia's losses in war against Ukraine

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has lost more than 841,000 soldiers. Over the past day alone, Russia's losses amounted to about 1,300 troops. The Ukrainian Defense Forces also lost 12 tanks, 18 armored combat vehicles, 51 artillery systems, and more.
