Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of January 29

Since the beginning of January 29, 91 combat clashes have occurred at the front. Russian forces are most actively attacking in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The enemy attacked our positions eight times in the Kupiansk direction. Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy assaults near Petropavlivka, Novoosynove, Kolisnykivka, Zahryzove, and Lozova. Two clashes are ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, enemy units attacked in the areas of the settlements of Novoyehorivka, Kopanky, Makiivka, Novolyubivka, Torske, Yampolivka, and Zelena Dolyna. Since the beginning of the day, Ukrainian forces have repelled 19 attacks, with four clashes still ongoing.
In the Siversk direction, since the beginning of the day, the enemy made five attempts to push our defenders from their positions near Verkhniokamianske but they were repelled.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven enemy assaults near Novomarkove, Chasiv Yar, and Stupochky.
In the Toretsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled one enemy attack near Toretsk.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the Russian army made 39 attempts to push our defenders from their positions near the settlements of Vodiane Druhe, Yelyzavetivka, Myrolyubivka, Lysivka, Vidrodzhennia, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Kotliarivka, Andriivka, Dachne, and Ulakly. The defense forces, holding off the enemy’s assault, have already repelled 27 attacks in this direction. The enemy is suffering significant losses in manpower.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the invaders made six attacks on Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Kostiantynopil, Rozlyv, Rozdolne, and Novoocheretuvate. One clash is still ongoing.
In the Kharkiv, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, and Prydniprovskyi directions, the enemy did not conduct active operations.
In the Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders repelled two attacks by Russian troops today, with three clashes still ongoing. Additionally, the enemy launched 13 airstrikes, dropping 21 guided aerial bombs.
Russia's losses in the war
According to the General Staff, since the beginning of the full-scale war against Ukraine, Russia has lost over 834,000 soldiers.
In particular, over the past 24 hours, the losses of the Russian forces amounted to 1,670 personnel. In addition, Ukrainian forces destroyed 10 tanks, 24 armored fighting vehicles, 29 artillery systems, one multiple launch rocket system, 57 operational-tactical drones, one cruise missile, 97 vehicles, and 3 units of special equipment.
