Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of January 25

As of 10:00 p.m. Kyiv time on January 25, 159 combat engagements have taken place along the front lines since the start of the day, with the heaviest fighting concentrated in the Pokrovsk direction, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
Today, the enemy carried out 32 airstrikes using 59 guided aerial bombs, launched over 650 kamikaze drone attacks, and conducted more than 4,000 shellings targeting Ukrainian military positions and settlements with various types of weaponry.
Frontline situation
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attempted nine times to push Ukrainian units from their positions near Petropavlivka, Pishchane, Hlushkivka, and Lozova.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy launched 28 attacks, seeking to advance in the areas of Tverdokhlibove, Novoserhiivka, Shyikivka, Nova Kruhliakivka, Druzheliubivka, Hrekivka, Pershotravneve, Kopanky, Novoliubivka, Makiivka, Zelena Dolyna, and Torske. Ukrainian defenders repelled 24 of these assaults, with four engagements still ongoing.
In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled an enemy attack near Verkhnokamianka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Defense Forces countered 32 enemy attempts to advance near Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Chasiv Yar, Stupochky, Predtechyne, and Bila Hora. Currently, seven clashes are ongoing.
The enemy made nine attempts to breach Ukrainian defenses in the Toretsk direction near the settlement of Toretsk.
Intense attacks continued in the Pokrovsk direction, where the Russian army launched 48 assault and offensive actions throughout the day. Russian forces remain most active near Vodyane Druhe, Yelyzavetivka, Myroliubivka, Promin, Zelene, Udachne, Novooleksandrivka, Kotlyne, Bohdanivka, Andriivka, Shevchenko, Dachne, Ulakly, Kostyantynopilske, and toward Pokrovsk, Vidrodzhennia, and Uspenivka. Ukrainian defenders have repelled 39 attacks in this sector, with nine ongoing engagements.
In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled eight assaults near Novosilka, Novodarivka, Kostyantynopil, and Velyka Novosilka.
In the Orikhiv direction, the settlement of Mala Tokmachka came under attack from enemy-guided aerial bombs.
Twice, Russian forces unsuccessfully attempted to dislodge Ukrainian Defense Forces from their positions in the Prydniprovskyi direction.
Sixteen combat engagements occurred today in the Kursk direction, with two ongoing clashes. Over the day, the enemy conducted 420 artillery strikes, including eight using multiple launch rocket systems, carried out 25 airstrikes, and dropped 42 guided bombs.
No offensive actions were reported in the Huliaipole and Kharkiv directions since the start of the day.
During the previous day, from January 24 to 25, the Russian military lost 1,650 soldiers in its war against Ukraine. Additionally, Ukrainian forces destroyed 37 armored vehicles, 51 drones, and 79 enemy vehicles.
