As of 4:00 PM on January 19, 125 combat engagements have taken place on the front lines since the start of the day. Nearly half of them occurred on the Pokrovsk direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian shelling

Throughout the day, the enemy launched artillery strikes from Russian territory on the areas of the following settlements:

  • Prohres, Romanivka, Hrabovske, Pokrovka in Sumy region;
  • Lemishchyne in Kharkiv region;
  • Leonivka, Medvedivka, Berylivka in Chernihiv region.

Uncontrolled aviation rockets struck Oleksandrivka in the Sumy region and Hremyach in the Chernihiv region.

Situation on the front lines

In the Lyman Kharkiv direction, supported by assault aviation, the enemy conducted two unsuccessful attacks near Vovchansk and launched an airstrike on Vovchanski Khutory.

In the Lyman Kupiansk direction, the enemy attempted to advance seven times near Stroivka, Pishchane, Kolisnykivka, Zahryzove, and Lozova. Four attacks were repelled, and three engagements are ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, fourteen clashes occurred near Novoyehorivka, Nadiya, Novosergiyivka, Novosadove, Zarichne, Kolodyazi, Zelena Dolyna, Terny, and in Serebryanske Forestry. Seven engagements are still underway.

In the Siversk direction, the enemy conducted assaults near Ivano-Darivka and Verkhniokamianske, both of which were successfully repelled by Ukrainian defenders.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy attacked seven times near Chasiv Yar and Bila Hora, with five engagements currently ongoing.

In the Toretsk direction, seventeen assaults occurred near Toretsk, Diliivka, and Shcherbynivka. Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled eleven attacks, and six engagements are still ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk direction, high enemy activity persists, with 62 clashes recorded near Zelene Pole, Oleksandropil, Vodyane Druhe, Yelyzavetivka, Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Zvyrove, Shevchenko, Udachne, Uspenivka, Kotlyne, Nadiyivka, Novotroitske, Novoandriyivka, Slovyanka, Petropavlivka, Andriyivka, Dachne, Ulakly, and Yantarne. Fifteen engagements are still ongoing.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy launched twelve assaults near Kostiantynopol and Velyka Novosilka. Four engagements are ongoing. The enemy also carried out an airstrike with uncontrolled rockets on Novopil.

In the Huliaipole, Orikhiv, and Prydniprovia directions, the enemy did not conduct active operations.

In the Kursk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled one assault. Four engagements have been recorded, and two airstrikes using guided bombs were launched on positions and settlements. Additionally, the enemy conducted 196 artillery strikes, including five from multiple launch rocket systems.

"Ukrainian troops are exhausting the enemy along the entire line of contact and in their rear," added the General Staff.

Russian losses

In the last 24 hours, from January 18 to 19, Russian forces have lost another 1,580 soldiers on the front lines. Additionally, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 18 armored vehicles, 36 drones, and 76 units of enemy equipment.
