Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of December 14

There were 205 combat clashes on the frontline in the last 24 hours, with the most intense fighting concentrated in four directions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
In the past 24 hours, aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck: one area of enemy personnel concentration, two command posts, one ground-based UAV control station, and another important enemy target.
Situation by directions:
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy conducted one assault in the area of Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled enemy assaults near Kolisnykivka, Bohuslavka, Zahryzove, and Lozova. Over the past day, 10 attacks by the occupiers were recorded.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted 24 attacks, attempting to breach Ukrainian defenses near the settlements of Hrekivka, Nadiya, Zelenyi Hai, Shyikivka, Makiivka, Terny, Zarichne, Torske, Dibrova, Hryhorivka, and in the direction of Cherneshchyna.
In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled one enemy assault near Bilohorivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers launched six attacks near Chasiv Yar and Stupochky.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy conducted 10 attacks near Toretsk, Krymske, and Dyliivka, with most assaults targeting Toretsk.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian forces stopped 62 enemy assaults toward the settlements of Myrolyubivka, Lysivka, Promin, Dachenske, Shevchenko, Novyi Trud, Zelene, Pishchane, and Pushkine.
In the Kurakhove direction, the Defense Forces repelled 27 enemy attacks. The occupiers were most active near Stari Terny, Sontsivka, Zoria, Kurakhove, Dalnie, Dachne, Hannivka, and Uspenivka.
In the Vremivka direction, the enemy carried out 35 assaults near the settlements of Trudove, Veselyi Hai, Kostyantynopilske, Sukhi Yaly, Blahodatne, Storozheve, and Neskuchne.
In the Huliaipole and Orikhiv directions, no significant enemy activity was recorded over the past day.
In the Prydniprovske direction, Ukrainian troops repelled four enemy attacks, with no success for the occupiers.
No signs of enemy offensive group formation were observed in the Volyn and Polissia directions.
In the Kursk direction, there were 22 combat clashes. The enemy launched 13 airstrikes using 19 guided bombs and conducted 399 artillery shellings.
Earlier reports claimed the operational encirclement of Ukrainian troops near Uspenivka in the Donetsk region. However, the AFU has refuted this information.
Additionally, in early December, the Defense Forces regained control over the village of Novyi Komar in the Donetsk region, successfully expelling the occupiers.
