Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of December 9

Since the beginning of the day on December 9, 102 combat clashes have occurred on the front line. The Russian forces are attacking most intensively in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the Kharkiv direction, three combat clashes took place near Hlyboke and Vovchansk, with one ongoing enemy attack.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attempted to advance towards our positions near Lozova and Zahryzove twice during the day, one attack was successfully repelled, and the battle continues.
In the Lyman direction, ten combat clashes occurred near Hrekivka, Zelenyi Hai, Nadiia, Makiivka, Torske, and Yampolivka. Six clashes are still ongoing.
In the Toretsk direction, the invaders attacked six times in the areas of Toretsk and Nelipivka. Four attacks were successfully repelled by our defenders, with two clashes still ongoing.
The enemy remains highly active in the Pokrovsk direction. Today, 29 clashes of varying intensity have occurred. Near Myrolyubivka, Lysivka, Promin, Dachenske, Chumatske, and Shevchenko, Ukrainian units repelled 24 attacks.
The situation remains difficult in the Kurakhove direction. Near Sontsivka, Stari Terny, Zoria, Dalne, Dachne, and Kurakhove, 16 assaults were repelled, with nine ongoing clashes.
In the Vremivka direction, the aggressor attacked 14 times towards Kostiantynopol, Novosilka, and near Storozhуve, with five battles still ongoing. Enemy aviation launched KAB (guided aerial bombs) strikes on Kostiantynopol.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Russian invaders attacked our positions three times. They received a strong repulse and suffered losses.
In the Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders are repelling six attacks from the Russian troops, with a total of nine combat clashes recorded.
Russia's losses in the war
According to the General Staff, since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has lost 754,590 soldiers.
In particular, over the past day, the Defense Forces have eliminated another 1,220 soldiers. Additionally, 18 armored fighting vehicles, 3 artillery systems, and other enemy equipment were destroyed.
