According to Ukraine's General Staff, the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported 153 combat engagements across the front lines on November 20, with Russian forces concentrating their primary efforts in the Pokrovsk direction.

“Missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces conducted 12 strikes on enemy personnel and equipment concentrations, destroying a command post and an ammunition depot,” the General Staff stated.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv direction, Russian troops launched four attacks near Vovchansk and Starytsia.

Seven attacks occurred in the Kupiansk direction near Kolisnykivka, Zahryzove, Kucherivka, Kruhliakivka, and Zelenyi Hai.

In the Lyman direction, ten attacks were repelled, with Russian forces targeting Cherneshchyna, Zarichne, Hryhorivka, Serebrianka, and Terny.

The enemy made seven unsuccessful attempts to advance near Toretsk and Shcherbynivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 34 attacks near Myroliubivka, Pustynka, Promin, Krutyi Yar, Krasnyi Yar, and other locations.

In the Kurakhove direction, Russian forces attempted 29 breakthroughs near Berestky, Zorya, Sontsivka, Maksymilianivka, Katerynivka, Yelyzavetivka, and Antonivka.

In the Vremivka direction, another 29 assaults were thwarted near Trudove, Kostyantynopilske, Rozdolne, Velyka Novosilka, and Novodarivka.

In the Prydniprovske direction, six attacks were repelled.

Russian casualties

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russia has suffered an estimated 727,000 personnel losses, according to Ukrainian Defense Forces. In the past 24 hours alone, Ukrainian forces reportedly eliminated 1,510 Russian troops and destroyed:

  • 24 armored vehicles
  • 50 artillery systems
