Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of November 18

As of the evening of November 18, 135 combat clashes were recorded on the front line. Russian forces primarily focus their efforts in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
Russian forces launched two missile strikes on Ukrainian territory using two missiles, and 65 airstrikes and dropped 97 guided aerial bombs.
Additionally, the Russian forces deployed 678 kamikaze drones and conducted more than 3,930 shellings of our military positions and civilian settlements.
Frontline situation
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy made six attempts to storm our positions near Vovchansk, but the Defense Forces repelled all efforts to advance.
Today, on this front, the enemy lost 89 soldiers, killed and wounded. Additionally, Ukrainian forces destroyed 31 drones, two vehicles, and two specialized transport units of the invaders. They also damaged a tank, two artillery systems, and 11 vehicles.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy conducted offensive operations near Kruhlyakivka and Lozova. Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled all nine enemy attacks.
In the Lyman direction, Russian forces launched four assaults on Defense Forces positions near Novoliubivka, Torske, and Bilohorivka, but were repelled each time.
In the Toretsk direction, four combat clashes took place. The enemy stormed Ukrainian positions near Shcherbynivka and in the area of Toretsk. All of the aggressor's attacks were repelled.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the enemy launched 35 attacks in the areas of Myrolyubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Petrivka, Pustynka, and Novooleksiivka. Our defenders repelled 27 assaults, with eight more clashes ongoing.
Today, on this front, 285 Russian soldiers were neutralized, 119 of them killed. Additionally, a tank, three artillery systems, nine vehicles, and two motorcycles were destroyed. Furthermore, three tanks, two guns, three armored combat vehicles, two vehicles, and two motorcycles were damaged.
In the Kurakhove direction, the enemy made 26 attempts to break through our defenses near the settlements of Berestky, Sonchivka, Voznesenka, Dalne, Yelizavetivka, Katerynivka, and Antonivka. Sixteen clashes have ended, while ten are still ongoing.
In the Vremivka direction, the enemy launched 14 attacks on our positions near Trudove, Rozdilne, Makarivka, Rivnopil, and Novodarivka. Ukrainian defenders hold their ground steadfastly, with eight ongoing combat clashes.
The enemy also made eight unsuccessful attacks on our defenders in the Prydniprovskyi direction.
In the Kursk direction, the Defense Forces repelled nineteen assaults by Russian forces, and the fighting continued.
"There have been no significant changes on other fronts," the General Staff added.
Russia's losses in the war
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, on November 17, the Russian army lost 1,560 soldiers on the front, as well as 15 tanks, 38 armored combat vehicles, 30 artillery systems, 99 drones, and other equipment.
Overall, Russia's losses have now exceeded 722,000 soldiers.
