Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of November 15
Since the beginning of the day, 157 combat engagements have already occurred at the frontline. The Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions recorded the most hostilities. At the same time, in the Kursk region, Ukrainian troops repelled over twenty Russian attacks, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Enemy shelling
Since the beginning of the day, Russian forces launched a missile strike, carried out 42 airstrikes using 69 guided bombs, and deployed 689 kamikaze drones across Ukraine.
Additionally, Russian forces deployed 689 kamikaze drones in attacks and conducted over 3,800 shelling incidents targeting Ukrainian Defense Forces and civilian settlements.
Frontline situation
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy attempted assaults near Vovchansk and Vysoka Yaruha. Seven attacks were repelled, while two remain ongoing.
"Enemy's losses in this area currently amount to 68 personnel killed or injured, two vehicles, 13 drones, and one piece of specialized equipment destroyed; two vehicles and two pieces of equipment were also damaged," the General Staff reported.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces advanced near Kolisnykivka, Kopanky, and Nadiya. Fourteen battles were concluded, with one still ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops halted 16 enemy assaults near Novoyehorivka, Makiivka, Terny, and Torske.
In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled a single assault near Verkhniokamianske.
In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces, supported by bomber aircraft, launched nine assault operations. They attacked near Toretsk, Diliivka, and Shcherbynivka. Ukrainian troops repelled eight attacks, with one battle still ongoing near Toretsk.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy conducted 35 assaults in Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Petrivka, and Pustynka. Ukrainian forces repelled 34 attacks while one battle continued.
"As of now, the enemy's losses today at this front include 373 personnel killed or wounded, 12 armored fighting vehicles, two tanks, nine vehicles, two artillery systems, an anti-tank missile system, and an electronic warfare system destroyed; one additional vehicle was damaged," the General Staff stated.
In the Kurakhove direction, Russian forces launched 34 attacks near Berestky, Novoselydivka, Voznesenka, Novodmytrivka, Maksymilianivka, Dalne, and Antonivka. Ukrainian forces have already repelled 14 attacks while battles are ongoing.
In the Vremivka direction, fighting occurred near Trudove, Rivnopil, and Novodarivka, with Ukrainian forces maintaining control of the situation.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Ukrainian defenders halted five Russian attacks.
In the Kursk region, Ukrainian forces repelled 21 attacks, with three battles still underway.
The military command noted that the situation in other directions remains largely unchanged.
Earlier today, reports emerged that Ukrainian Special Operations Forces successfully rescued 16 servicemembers from three different units of Ukraine's Defense Forces during a special mission in the Kursk region.
Additionally, Andrii Kovalenko, head of Ukraine's Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, stated that Russian forces have resumed offensive operations in the Kursk region, employing heavy equipment.
