Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of November 14
Since the beginning of the day, as of 22:00 on November 14, there have been 138 combat engagements at the front. Ukrainian defenders continue to repel attempts by the enemy to advance deeper into our territory, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Enemy shelling
Throughout the day, Russian forces launched 45 airstrikes on Ukrainian territory, dropping 87 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they deployed over 400 kamikaze drones and carried out more than three thousand shelling attacks on Ukrainian military positions and civilian areas.
Frontline situation
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy unsuccessfully attempted to storm the positions of our units four times near Tykhe and Vovchansk. Meanwhile, enemy aviation struck the settlement of Slatyne with two aerial bombs.
In the Kupiansk direction, the Russian army launched offensive actions near Holubivka, Petropavlivka, Pishchane, Hlushkivka, Zelenyi Hai, Zahryzove, Kruhlyakivka, Pershotravneve, and Lozova. Ukrainian defenders repelled all ten enemy attacks.
In the Lyman direction, Russian forces attacked the positions of the Defense Forces nine times near the settlements of Katerynivka, Druzhlyubivka, Nevske, Terni, and Torske. In addition, the enemy launched strikes with assault and bomber aircraft in the area of the Serebrianske Forestry.
In the Siversk direction, our defenders repelled two assaults by Russian forces toward Verkhniokamianske.
In the Kramatorsk direction, with air support, the enemy stormed our positions near Predtechyne. The Defense Forces repelled all attacks by the Russian army.
In the Toretsk direction, Russia launched ten airstrikes and stormed Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Dyliivka, Toretsk, and Shcherbynivka. All attacks failed the Russian army.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the enemy has attacked in the areas of the settlements of Promin, Lysivka, Sukhyi Yar, Pushkine, Zhovte, and Pustynka. Our defenders repelled 18 assault actions by the enemy, and five more engagements are still ongoing.
"Today, in this direction, according to preliminary data, over 300 Russian soldiers were neutralized, including 144 killed. Additionally, one mortar, 11 vehicles, three motorcycles, and one trench radio-electronic warfare station were destroyed. One tank was also damaged," the General Staff reported.
In the Kurakhove direction, the enemy continues attempts to break through our defense near the settlements of Berestky, Sontsivka, Illinka, Novoselydivka, Zoria, Dalne, and Kostiantynivka. Eighteen combat engagements have been concluded, and the same number are still ongoing.
"On this front, according to preliminary data, enemy casualties, both killed and wounded, amounted to 137 individuals. One tank, six vehicles, two motorcycles, one trench radio-electronic warfare station were destroyed, and one enemy BMP was damaged," the statement reads.
In the Vremivka direction, the enemy attempted to break through the defenses of our forces 12 times in the areas of the settlements of Makarivka, Yantarne, Rivnopil, and Novodarivka. Additionally, they dropped 15 guided aerial bombs on Temyrivka, Sukhi Yaly, Velyka Novosilka, and Shevchenko, while the settlement of Urozhaine was struck by assault aircraft.
In the Orikhiv direction, the Russian forces attacked the positions of our Defense Forces twice near Novodanylivka.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy continues attempts to dislodge our units from their positions. The Russian army launched four unsuccessful assaults on Ukrainian positions throughout the day.
There were no significant changes in the other directions.
"Today, the soldiers of the 110th and 126th separate brigades of territorial defense, are effectively destroying the enemy, inflicting significant losses in personnel and equipment," the General Staff concluded.
Over 24 hours, from November 13 to 14, the Russian army lost 1,690 soldiers on the front lines. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also destroyed 54 drones, 64 artillery systems, and 124 vehicles.
