Since the beginning of the day on November 1, there have been 74 combat engagements on the front. Russian troops continue to actively operate in the Pokrovsk, Kurakove, and Lyman directions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian shelling

According to the General Staff, border areas in the Sumy region continue to suffer from Russian airstrikes.

In particular, terrorists targeted the areas of Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, and Zhuravka with guided bombs (KABs), dropping a total of eight KABs.

Several settlements in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions were affected by artillery shelling from the terrorist army today, including Verkhnya Pozhnya, Tymofiivka, Pavlivka, Rohizne, Novenke, Basivka, and Pokrovka.

Additionally, the enemy carried out 22 airstrikes, using 27 KABs on the territory of the Kursk region.

Situation in the directions

In the Kharkiv direction, Russia dropped two aerial bombs in the vicinity of Derhachi.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attempted to advance toward our positions twice during the day in the areas of Petropavlivka and Lozova. Fighting continues near Lozova.

The aggressor has increased the number of attacks to 12 in the Lyman direction, targeting near Druzheliubivka, Katerynivka, Hrekivka, Makiivka, Terny, and in the Serebryanske forestry. Four combat engagements are currently ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk direction, our defenders repelled one attack by Russia near Stupochky.

In the Toretsk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations but carried out airstrikes in the areas of Toretsk, Petrivka, and Kostiantynivka, dropping eight KABs.

The enemy's activity is also ongoing in the Pokrovsk direction, where 21 clashes of varying intensity occurred today. Attacks were repelled in the areas of Sukha Balka, Myroliubivka, Mykolaivka, Lysyanka, Krutyi Yar, Novohrodivka, and Selydove. Two battles are still ongoing near Vyshneve.

Fighting continues in the Kurakhove direction. Near Ostrivske, Illinka, Novoselydivka, Kreminna Balka, Novodmytrivka, Vovchenkivka, Maksymilianivka, Dalne, Antonivka, and Katerynivka, there were 24 combat engagements throughout the day, with 13 attacks from the enemy still ongoing.

In the Vremivka direction, the aggressor attacked our defenders' positions once in the area of Trudove.

In the Orikhiv direction, Russian forces did not conduct offensive operations but carried out an airstrike with ten NARs (unguided rockets) on Novoandriivka.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the operational situation remains unchanged. The enemy conducted three unsuccessful assaults.

"In the other directions, there have been no significant changes in the situation. Ukrainian troops are maintaining control and exhausting the enemy along the entire line of combat engagement and in the rear," the General Staff added.

Situation at the front and Russian losses

According to the General Staff, during the past day, October 31, there were 170 battles along the front line. The highest number of combat engagements was recorded in the Kurakhove direction.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has lost over 696,000 personnel. In just the past day, the Defense Forces eliminated another 1,460 soldiers.
