Since the beginning of the day on October 31, there have been 79 combat clashes at the front. The enemy is most active in the Lyman, Pokrovsk, and Kurakhove directions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian shelling

According to the General Staff, the Sumy and Chernihiv regions continue to suffer from artillery shelling from the territory of Russia.

Thus, areas near border settlements have come under enemy fire. Among them are Pokrovka, Bachivsk, Shalyhine, Novenke, Leonivka, Basivka, Pavlivka, and Koreniok.

It is also currently known that there were seven airstrikes on the Kursk region, during which the enemy dropped 13 aerial bombs.

Situation in the directions

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy continues its attack in the Vovchansk area. Two enemy attacks have already been repelled near Vovchansk.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy has attempted to storm the positions of our units seven times near Petropavlivka, Kolysnykivka, Zahryzove, Lozova, Berestove, and Vyshneve. Six clashes are ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, over the day, the invading army has conducted 12 attacks on Ukrainian positions in the direction of Katerynivka, Stepove, Hrekivka, Terny, and Serebryanske forestry. Eight clashes have ended, while four are still ongoing. Russia used NARs (unguided rockets) against the Serebryanske forestry.

In the Toretsk direction, the enemy has attempted to improve its position twice. Ukrainian soldiers have given a worthy response. Russian troops dropped four aerial bombs on the Katerynivka area.

Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has made ten attempts to push our defenders from their positions in the Pokrovsk direction. Fighting continues near Promin, Lysivka, and Vyshneve. Myroliubivka and Myrnohrad have been hit by KABs (guided aerial bombs).

Twenty-two enemy attacks have been recorded in the areas of Novoselydivka, Kreminna Balka, Novodmytrivka, Ostrivske, Maksymylianivka, Antonivka, and Yelyzavetivka in the Kurakhove direction. The Russian army is making its main efforts in the Antonivka area, conducting ten assaults, three of which are ongoing.

In the Vremivka direction, two clashes are ongoing near Bohoyavlenka and Trudove. Ukrainian defenders have already repelled two attacks today.

In the Orikhiv direction, Russia has attacked twice toward Novodanylivka. The enemy dropped eight guided aerial bombs on Yurkivka, Tavriiske, and the area of Mala Tokmachka.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, two enemy assaults have been successfully repelled.

"There have been no significant changes in the other directions," the General Staff added.

Situation at the front and Russian losses

According to the General Staff, there were 145 combat clashes at the front over the past day, October 30. The most fighting was recorded in the Kurakhove direction.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has lost nearly 695,000 soldiers. Over the past day, Ukrainian soldiers eliminated more than 1,300 soldiers and destroyed dozens of units of enemy military equipment.
