Over the past day, October 27, 144 combat engagements took place on the frontline. Most of the fighting was recorded in the Kurakhove and Pokrovsk sectors, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“Yesterday, the aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted 11 strikes on the areas of concentration of Russian personnel and weapons, destroyed a control center and one artillery system,” Ukraine's General Staff writes.

Situation in the sectors

In the Kharkiv sector, Russia attacked Ukrainian troops' positions 4 times near Vovchansk.

In the Kupiansk sector, the Russians attacked 20 times in the direction of Kindrashivka, Synkivka, Kolisnykivka, Kruhliakivka, Lozova, Zahryzove, Pershotravneve and Vyshneve.

In the Lyman sector, 16 Russian attacks were repelled in the areas of Cherneshchyna, Novomykhailivka, Makiivka, Terny, Zarichne, Serebrianka, and Hryhorivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russia attacked 9 times in the areas of Orikhovo-Vasylivka and Predtechyno.

In the Toretsk sector, Russians attacked 6 times near Toretsk and Shcherbynivka with fighter bombers.

In the Pokrovsk sector, 27 Russian attacks were repelled in the direction of Myroliubivka, Promin, Krutyi Yar, Vyshneve, and Selydove.

In the Kurakhove sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 37 Russian attacks. Russia concentrated its main efforts in the areas of Novoselydivka, Novodmytrivka, Kurakhivka, and beyond.

In the Vremivka sector, Russia conducted 8 assaults on Ukrainian positions near Novoukrainka and Bohoiavlenka with the support of aviation.

In the Orikhiv and Huliaipole sectors, Russia actively used attack and bombing aircraft, including dropping more than a dozen guided bombs.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, Russian invaders attacked Ukrainian positions 3 times and suffered losses.

Russia's losses in the war

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has lost more than 690,000 troops. Over the past day alone, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated another 1,680 Russian occupants, Russian 7 tanks, 40 armored combat vehicles, and more.
