Russia's losses in Ukraine as of October 28: +1,680 troops, 68 drones, 51 artillery systems

Over the last day, from October 27 to 28, the Russians lost 1,680 soldiers, 7 tanks, and 100 vehicles at the front, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to October 28, 2024, are approximately as follows:
- personnel - about 690,720 (+1,680) Russian troops were eliminated;
- tanks - 9,120 (+7);
- armored personnel vehicle - 18,395 (+40);
- artillery systems - 19,872 (+51);
- MLRS - 1,240;
- anti-aircraft warfare systems - 984;
- aircraft - 369;
- helicopters - 329;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 17,867 (+68);
- cruise missiles - 2625;
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 27,660 (+100);
- special equipment - 3,556 (+14).
Situation at the front and night shelling
According to ISW, the Armed Forces of Ukraine advanced in the Kursk region, but Russia is advancing in the Donetsk region.
At night, Russians shelled Kharkiv. 7 people were injured in the Russian attack, including a child.
In addition, Russians shelled Chuhuiv at night, damaging a manor house.
