Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of September 15

Since the beginning of September 15, and up to 10:00 PM, there have been 137 combat encounters on the front lines. The highest number of battles was recorded in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Russian shelling
Today, Russian forces carried out 56 airstrikes on Ukrainian territory, dropping 83 guided bombs. Additionally, the Russian army deployed 428 suicide drones and conducted nearly 2,800 shelling attacks on Ukrainian military positions and civilian areas.
Frontline situation
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy unsuccessfully attempted to assault Ukrainian positions near Vovchansk. Additionally, Russian aircraft from Russian territory struck civilian infrastructure in Kharkiv (four guided bombs) and the settlement of Ruska Lozova (two guided bombs).
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy conducted offensive operations near Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Kolisnykivka, Hlushkivka, Kruhliakivka, and Lozova. Eighteen battles have been completed, with two ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, Russian forces attacked the positions of the Defense Forces near Druzheliubivka, Kovaliivka, Tverdokhlibove, Nevske, Makiivka, Terni, and Novosadove. Ukrainian defenders repelled all enemy attacks.
In the Siversk direction, our troops repelled 12 enemy offensive actions in the areas of Bilohorivka, Verkhniokamianske, Viyimka, and Ivano-Daryivka. Currently, ten battles have concluded, with two still ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy assaulted our positions near Stupochky and Kurdiumivka. Defense forces repelled all invader attacks.
In the Toretsk direction, 11 clashes occurred. The Russians attacked Ukrainian positions near Toretsk, Dachne, Shcherbynivka, and Nelipivka. All Russian attacks were repelled.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the start of the day, the enemy has attacked 34 times in the areas of Vozdvyzhenska, Zelene Pole, Novotoretske, Hrodivka, Novohrodivka, and Marynivka. Ukrainian defenders repelled 31 assaults, with three clashes still ongoing.
"Today in this direction, 230 Russian soldiers were neutralized, including 89 irretrievably. A relay station and three vehicles were also destroyed," the report states.
In the Kurakhove direction, the enemy made 34 attempts to breach the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Zhelanne Druhe, Ukrainsk, Selydove, Dolynivka, Heorhiivka, Katerynivka, and Kostiantynivka. Twenty-seven clashes have concluded, with seven still ongoing.
In the Vremivka direction, the enemy tried eight times to push Ukrainian units out of their defensive positions near Vodiane, Katerynivka, and Makarivka. Five attacks from the Russian forces are still ongoing.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Ukrainian defense forces stopped eight attempts to attack our positions.
In other directions, there have been no significant changes.
"Today, we should highlight the efforts of the 46th Separate Airborne Brigade, the 25th Separate Dnipro Airborne Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces, and the 151st Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, who are effectively destroying the enemy and inflicting significant losses in both personnel and equipment," the General Staff summarized.
Over the past day, from September 14 to 15, Russian losses on the front amounted to 1,170 soldiers. Ukrainian forces also destroyed 6 tanks, 20 enemy armored vehicles, and 23 artillery systems.
