Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of September 13
Since the start of the day on September 13, 115 combat engagements have occurred on the front. The enemy attempts to break through defenses and capture new territories in four directions within the Donetsk region, according to the evening report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
Today, the enemy launched one missile strike on Ukrainian territory, carried out 63 airstrikes (including 73 KAB bombs), and deployed 567 kamikaze drones. More than 2,900 shellings of our troops' positions and civilian settlements were recorded.
Frontline situation
In the Kharkiv direction, Russian troops attacked four times near Vovchansk, Hatyshche, Hlyboke, and Lyptsi during the day. Two combat engagements are ongoing.
Preliminary estimates indicate that enemy losses today include 72 soldiers killed or wounded. Additionally, our forces destroyed an armored fighting vehicle, 25 UAVs, and a vehicle, and damaged two artillery systems, two vehicles, and an armored fighting vehicle.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attempted 11 advances toward our positions near Synkivka, Hlushkivka, Lozova, Petropavlivka, Novoosynove, and Stelmakhivka. All attacks were repelled by the Defense Forces.
In the Lyman direction, Russian troops attacked 22 times in the areas of Kopanky, Hrekivka, Tverdokhlibove, Makiivka, Nevske, Yampilivka, Torske, Serebrianka, and Bilohorivka. Six combat engagements are still ongoing, while others were halted by our troops.
In the Siversk direction, the enemy tried to breach our defense three times near Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, and Vyimka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, three combat engagements were recorded. All attacks near Chasiv Yar and Andriivka were repelled. Russian troops suffered losses.
In the Toretsk direction, six enemy attacks occurred near Dachne, Toretsk, and Nelipivka. Five were repelled, and one battle is still ongoing. The situation remains under control.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy attempted to break through the defenders' lines 19 times. Since the start of the day, Russian troops faced stiff resistance 16 times near Zelene Pole, Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Myroliubivka, Novotroitske, and Hrodivka. Three attacks continue near Selydove, Mykhailivka, and Novohrodivka.
The enemy is suffering significant losses. Preliminary reports indicate that today our troops neutralized more than 200 Russian troops in this direction, 80 of whom were killed. Two mortars and seven enemy vehicles were destroyed, while an artillery system, two armored fighting vehicles, and four vehicles were damaged.
In the Kurakhove direction, the enemy launched 35 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Ukrainske, Zhelanne Pershe, Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka, and Katerynivka. The highest activity was observed near Kostiantynivka and Ukrainske. Our soldiers repelled 30 attacks, while five engagements continued.
In the Vremivka direction, our forces repelled seven enemy attacks today near Katerynivka, Vuhledar, and Zolota Nyva. Five attacks were repelled, and two are still ongoing.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy made five unsuccessful attempts to assault the positions of Ukrainian troops.
No significant changes occurred in other directions.
Western aid to the Armed Forces of Ukraine
As a reminder, Ukrainian pilots have begun theoretical training on F-16 fighter jets at an air base in Romania.
In Poland, plans are underway to form a military legion from Ukrainians living in the country.
Additionally, the Polish government has not ruled out sending another batch of MiG-29 fighter jets to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
