Russia dropped 121 guided aerial bombs on Ukraine over the last day. The Ukrainian Armed Forces struck at Russian positions and command and control center, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Over the past day, 181 combat engagements were recorded. Yesterday, the aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defence Forces of Ukraine conducted 15 strikes on the areas where Russian personnel and military equipment were concentrated. In addition, a Russian command post and 4 air defense facilities were hit.

Sectors

In the Kharkiv sector, 7 firefights took place near Starytsia and Vovchansk.

In the Kupiansk sector, there were 15 engagements. Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled Russian assaults near Synkivka, Hlushkivka, Lozova, and Andriivka.

There were 17 combat engagements in the Lyman sector. Russia attacked near Druzheliubivka, Makiivka, Nevske, Cherneshchyna, and Novosadove.

There were 10 combat engagements in the Siversk sector. Ukrainian troops stopped all Russian attempts to break through the defenses in the areas of Verkhniokamianske, Vyimka, and Spirne.

There were 14 firefights in the Kramatorsk sector. Ukrainian defenders repelled Russian assaults near Chasiv Yar, Predtechyno, Ivanivske, Bila Hora, Ivanopillia, and Klishchiyivka.

In the Toretsk sector, 16 battles took place, in particular in the areas of Toretsk, Leonidivka, and Nelipivka

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 51 Russian attacks in the areas of Sukha Balka, Panteleimonovka, Zelene Pole, Vozdvyzhenka, Novotroitske, Hrodivka, Myroliubivka, Novohrodivka, Mykhailivka and Selydove. The highest concentration of attacks was near Novohrodivka.

In the Kurakhove sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces stopped 36 Russian attacks near Lysivka, Ukrayinske, Halytsynivka, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, and Kostiantynivka.

In the Vremivka sector, Russians conducted 11 offensives near Vodiane, Kostiantynivka, and Vuhledar.

In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled a Russian attack near Robotyne.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, the Russian occupiers also suffered defeats, attacking the defensive lines of our units three times.

The situation in other sectors remained unchanged.

Kursk operation

A month ago, on August 6, the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched an operation in the Kursk region of Russia. The Ukrainian Armed Forces continued offensive actions and replenished the exchange fund.

According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Kursk operation was a preventive strike, as Russia was planning offensive actions in the Sumy region. According to the head of state, the Kursk operation went according to a positive scenario, so the Ukrainian Armed Forces used Plan A.

Zelenskyy also emphasized that Ukraine would hold Russian territories until Vladimir Putin was forced to negotiate.
