Over the past day, September 2, 197 combat engagements were registered in the frontline. Russia was active in four sectors, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The situation was the most intense in the Pokrovsk sector, however, Russia was also active in the Kurakhove, Vremivka, and Kupiansk sectors.

"Yesterday, the aviation and missile forces and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted 12 strikes on the areas where Russian personnel and weapons are concentrated. In addition, Russian artillery system and two pontoon ferries were hit," Ukraine's General Staff writes.

Sectors

In the Kharkiv sector, five firefights took place near Vovchansk.

In the KupIansk sector, 23 combat engagements were recorded. Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled Russian assaults near Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Hlushkivka, Kolisnykivka, Stelmakhivka, and Berestove.

In the Lyman sector, Russians attacked 18 times near Hrekivka, Druzheliubivka, Makiivka, Nevske, Cherneshchyna, and Novosadove.

In the Siversk sector, 7 Russian attempts to break through the Ukrainian defenses in the areas of Verkhniokamianske, Vyimka, Ivano-Daryivka, and Spirne were stopped.

8 combat engagements took place in the Kramatorsk sector. Russian assaults were repelled near Klishchiivka, Kalynivka, Chasiv Yar, Stupochky, and Bila Hora.

In the Toretsk sector, 18 battles took place, including near Toretsk, Shcherbynivka, Romanivka, and Nelipivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, 56 Russian attacks were repelled. The highest concentration of attacks was near Novohrodivka and Mykhailivka.

In the Kurakhove sector, 39 Russian attacks near Ukrainsk, Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka, Halytsynivka, and Krasnohorivka were stopped.

In the Vremivka sector, Russian proxies conducted 21 offensives near Vodiane, Vuhledar, Kostiantynivka, and Prechystivka.

Ukrainian defenders repelled 2 Russian attacks in the Prydniprovskyi sector.

Russia's losses in war against Ukraine

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia's losses in manpower have amounted to more than 618,000 personnel. Yesterday, the Defense Forces of Ukraine eliminated another 1,360 Russian troops and destroyed 10 Russian tanks, 35 armored combat vehicles, 18 artillery systems, and more.
