Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of August 25

Since the beginning of the day on August 25, 136 combat engagements took place in the frontline. The enemy continues attacks in the Pokrovsk sector and is becoming more active in the Kharkiv region, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Enemy shelling
During the day, the Russian invaders launched one strike with three missiles and 58 air strikes, dropping 95 glide bombs. In addition, they engaged 436 kamikaze drones and fired 3169 times at the positions of our troops and populated areas.
Situation at the frontline
In the Kharkiv direction, four enemy attacks took place near Vovchansk and Lyptsi.
According to the information currently available, Ukrainian defenders in this area eliminated and wounded 76 militants, destroyed two tanks, an artillery system, 32 UAVs, five vehicles, and seven pieces of special equipment, and damaged nine artillery systems and three vehicles.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attacked our defenses 13 times near Petropavlivka, Synkivka, Hlushkivka, Kolisnykivka, Lozova, and Stelmakhivka. Eleven battles are over and two are ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, 21 firefights took place over the day. Russian invaders conducted assault operations near seven different localities. They concentrated their efforts in the vicinity of Nevske and Druzheliubivka, conducting a total of 13 attacks.
In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled six enemy attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka, Spirne, Verkhnekamianske, and Vyimka. Another battle is currently underway near Ivanodaryivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, there were 12 combat engagements. The enemy made the main efforts in the area of Chasiv Yar, where they conducted seven unsuccessful assaults.
In the Toretsk direction, Russians attacked Ukrainian troops seven times near Nelipivka and Toretsk. Four attacks were stopped, and three attacks near Nelipivka are still ongoing. The situation is under control.
Since the beginning of the day, 41 combat engagements have taken place in the Pokrovsk direction in the vicinity of eight localities. The enemy concentrated almost half of the attacks near Novohrodivka. In total, Ukrainian defense forces have repelled 37 attacks in the sector. Occupants' attacks are still ongoing near Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Kalynove, and in the direction of Sukha Balka.
As of today, 254 Russian militants have been neutralized in this sector. Moreover, two armored personnel carriers, two artillery systems, three UAVs, and 15 vehicles were destroyed. In addition, an armored personnel carrier, an artillery system, a 120-mm mortar, and three vehicles were damaged.
In the Kurakhove direction, the enemy attacked our positions 18 times near Karlivka, Nevelske, Pervomayske, Heorhiivka, Mykhailivka, and Kostiantynivka. The enemy, having intensified its activity, paid a heavy price for it - our soldiers destroyed four infantry fighting vehicles and damaged three. In addition, the enemy lost six vehicles and 25 servicemen. Wounded are still being counted.
In the Vremivka direction, the enemy made nine offensive and assault attacks towards Vuhledar and Vodiane. One battle is still ongoing.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy was unsuccessful, attacking the positions of our units twice.
The situation in other sectors remained unchanged.
In the Kursk region, Ukrainian troops advanced up to 3 kilometers and took control of two more settlements.
Russian troops remain at the besieged plant in Vovchansk, Kharkiv region, where they have been blocked for several months.
Over the past day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated 1190 Russians and 47 enemy artillery systems.
