Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of August 25
Over the past day, 160 combat clashes were recorded at the front, with the most intense fighting occurring in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to updated information, the enemy launched five attacks with 15 missiles and conducted 95 airstrikes, dropping 127 guided bombs. Additionally, they carried out over 4,800 shelling incidents, including 143 from multiple rocket launcher systems.
In the Kharkiv direction, there were three battles near Hlyboke and Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attacked 14 times. The defense forces repelled assault actions near Novoselivka, Stelmakhivka, Synkivka, and Hlushkivka.
In the Lyman direction, there were also 14 clashes. In the Seversk direction, nine combat engagements occurred.
Ukrainian defenders repelled Russian invaders' assaults near Verkhniokamianske, Bilohorivka, Vyimka, and Spirne. In the Kramatorsk direction, the Russians attacked 19 times near Stupochky, Chasiv Yar, Kalynivka, Hryhorivka, and Predtechyne.
In the Toretsk direction, 14 battles took place. In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders repelled 58 enemy assault actions. The highest concentration of attacks was near Novohrodivka and Kalynove.
In the Kurakhiv direction, the defense forces stopped 18 enemy attacks. In the Vremivka direction, Russian invaders made eight assaults towards Vodiane, Vuhledar, and Katerynivka but did not achieve success.
In the Orikhiv direction, there were three clashes near Novoandriivka and Shcherbakiv. The situation in the Huliaipole and Dnipro directions remained unchanged.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of enemy offensive group formations were detected. Along the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the enemy maintains a military presence and conducts mortar and artillery shelling of settlements from Russian territory.
Earlier, the General Staff reported that in the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy is carrying out active offensive actions, trying to improve their tactical position. However, the defense forces are inflicting significant losses on the Russians in terms of personnel and equipment.
