Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of August 4
In the past 24 hours, on August 3, 140 combat encounters were recorded on the front lines. The most intense situation remains in the Pokrovsk direction, with Russian activity also noted in the Toretsk and Kupiansk areas, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 45 assault attempts in the areas of Panteleimonivka, Novooleksandrivka, Vozdvyzhenska, Zhelanne, Novoselivka Persha, Kalynove, Mezheve, Karlivka, Svyrydonivka, Skuchne, Ivanivka, and Yasnobrodivka.
In the Kupiansk direction, there were 19 combat encounters, including near Synkivka, Kolesnykivka, Novoosynove, Hlushkivka, Andriivka, Berestove, Stelmakhivka, and Petropavlivka.
In the Toretsk direction, 20 clashes occurred near Pyatykhatky, New York, Toretsk, and Zalizne.
Situation on other fronts
In the Kharkiv direction, six battles took place. Defense forces repelled enemy assaults near Tykhe, Hlyboke, and Vovchansk.
In the Lyman direction, Russia launched eight attacks near Makiivka, Nevske, and Terny.
In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled Russian assaults near Verkhniokamianske, Ivano-Daryivka, Vyimka, Pereizne, and Spirne.
In the Kramatorsk direction, 12 battles occurred in the areas of Vasiukivka, Chasiv Yar, and Andriivka.
In the Kurakhiv direction, Defense forces stopped 11 attacks near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Panteleimonivka, Kostiantynivka, and Paraskoviivka, where the enemy tried to breach Ukrainian defenses.
In the Vremivka direction, Russian troops made seven assaults near Vodiane, Kostiantynivka, and Rozdolne.
In the Orikhiv direction, two enemy offensive actions near Robotyne were unsuccessful.
In the Huliaipole and Dnipro directions, the situation remains unchanged.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of enemy offensive group formations have been detected.
On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the enemy maintains a military presence, conducts mortar and artillery shelling of settlements from Russian territory, and increases the density of mine-explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine.
Russian losses in Ukraine
In the past 24 hours, on August 3, Russian losses amounted to 1,150 personnel. Ukrainian forces also neutralized five tanks, 17 armored fighting vehicles, 59 artillery systems, three multiple launch rocket systems, three air defense systems, 41 UAVs, two cruise missiles, 80 vehicles, and 11 pieces of special equipment of the invaders.
Additionally, Ukrainian aviation, rocket forces, and artillery conducted five strikes on personnel concentration areas, hitting a command post, five air defense systems, a radar station, a warehouse, and another important object of the invaders.
