Over the last day, July 28, 128 combat engagements were registered in the frontline. The situation was the most tense in the Pokrovsk sector, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“Yesterday, the aviation and missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces of Ukraine conducted five strikes on the areas of concentration of Russian personnel and weapons and also hit five artillery systems, a UAV control center, an infrastructure facility, and a storage facility for military equipment,” the General Staff writes.

Sectors

6 firefights took place in the Kharkiv sector. Russian assaults near Hlyboke and Vovchansk were repelled.

In the Kupiansk sector, there were 2 firefights near Novoosynove and Synkivka.

In the Lyman sector, Russians attacked 14 times near Makiivka, Nevske, Novosergiivka, Terny, Novosadove, and Torske.

In the Siversk sector, 8 Russian assaults were repelled near Spirne, Verkhniokamianske, Pereizne, and Ivano-Dariivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russians attacked 10 times in the areas of Vasiukivka, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka, Hryhorivka, and Bondarne.

In the Toretsk sector, Russians carried out 17 attacks near Pivnichne, New York, Toretsk, and Zalizne.

In the Pokrovsk sector, 52 Russian attacks were repelled in the areas of Tymofiivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Zelene Pole, and other localities. Russia attacked with the support of aviation. The highest concentration of attacks was near Zhelanne and Novooleksandrivka.

In the Kurakhove sector, 5 Russian attacks were repelled near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, and Paraskoviivka.

In the Vremivka sector, 5 Russian attacks were repelled near Velyka Novosilka, Kostiantynivka, and Rozdolne.

4 firefights occurred in the Huliaipole and Orikhiv sectors in the Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, and Novoandriivka.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, Russians tried to storm the left bank of the Dnipro River.

Russia's losses in war against Ukraine

Over the past day, the Defense Forces of Ukraine destroyed another 1,310 Russian troops. Since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has lost a total of about 576,000 soldiers. Also, yesterday, 12 Russian tanks, 8 armored combat vehicles, 74 artillery systems, and more were destroyed.
