Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of June 29
Since the beginning of June 29, 78 combat engagements have already taken place along the entire front line. In particular, the Russians continue to exert pressure in the Pokrovsk direction and are looking for ways to push Ukrainian troops out of their positions, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, the Russians have stepped up attacks along almost the entire frontline and are using air power. Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has already dropped 37 guided aerial bombs.
Situation on the frontlines
The border of Chernihiv and Sumy regions is suffering from artillery shelling from the territory of the Russian Federation. Today, the Russians shelled the areas of Riasne, Esman and Sukhodil.
In the Kharkiv direction, eight combat engagements took place in the area of Vovchansk since midnight. The enemy rebuffed and is counting its losses.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russians conducted three attacks on Ukrainian positions. Two of them, near Stelmakhivka and Synkivka, are still ongoing.
Russian troops are also active in the Lyman direction. The total number of combat engagements here has increased to six. The fighting is taking place in four locations near Torske and Nevske.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian troops are trying to advance in the areas of Chasiv Yar and Kalynivka. Six out of eight combat engagements today are still ongoing.
In the Toretsk direction, the number of attacks by the enemy has increased to eight. At the moment, the enemy is attacking in the areas of Toretsk, Pivnichne, Pivdenne, and New York. Enemy aviation is actively working - Russian invaders bombed the city of Toretsk with five guided aerial bombs.
Since the beginning of the day, Ukrainian Armed Forces have repelled 12 enemy assaults in the Pokrovsk direction. Another ten are ongoing. The enemy continues attacks near Yasnobrodivka, in three locations near the village of Vozdvyzhenka, and two combat engagements are ongoing in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Prohres, and Novoselivka Persha.
The enemy suffered losses as a result of complex firefighting conducted by Ukrainian units. Russian aviation fired unguided missiles at the area of Oleksandropol and dropped a bomb near Vozdvyzhenka and Ivanivka.
In the Kurakhove direction, the area around Mykhailivka was hit by guided aerial bombs. Six enemy attacks were repelled near Kostiantynivka and Paraskoviivka.
In the Vremivka direction, the enemy intensified their activities, attempting to break into our defense six times near Vodiane and Urozhayne. Two combat engagements are still ongoing.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, three enemy assaults were unsuccessful. No positions were lost on the left bank of the Dnipro.
