Since the beginning of the day, June 7, 24 combat engagements took place in the frontline. Russia fired 460 times at the positions of Ukrainian soldiers and populated areas, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Situation in sectors

Russians did not conduct any active operations in the Kharkiv sector.

The situation in the Kupiansk sector is tense. Since the beginning of the day, four firefights were registered in the areas of Pishchane, Druzheliubivka, and Hrekivka. Assault operations continue.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 3 Russian attacks near Terny and Torske. A battle is currently underway near Terny.

The situation in the Kramatorsk sector is somewhat tense. Since the beginning of the day, 2 Russian attempts to advance in the vicinity of Klishchiivka have been repelled. In particular, fighting continues near Kalynivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russians attempted to attack near Novooleksandrivka. 5 more attacks are taking place near Yevhenivka, Sokil, and Krasnohorivka.

In the Kurakhove sector, Russia's assault near Heorhiivka was unsuccessful.

In the Orikhiv sector, the Russians made one attack near Kopani. No Ukrainian losses of positions were incurred.

“In other areas, the situation has not changed significantly,” the General Staff adds.

Russia's losses in war against Ukraine

Over the past 24 hours, on June 6, the Ukrainian military destroyed another 1080 units of Russian personnel. Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russians have lost about 516,080 troops. In particular, yesterday Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed:

  • 6 tanks;
  • 20 armored combat vehicles;
  • 64 artillery systems.
