Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of April 14

Ukrainian forces repelled 36 enemy attacks on the Bakhmut direction, holding their positions and repulsing assaults by occupation forces on the Kherson direction. Aviation struck one enemy command post, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
During the past day, there were 76 combat clashes. Overall, the enemy delivered 1 missile and 109 aviation strikes, conducted 115 shelling attacks using rocket artillery systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas.
As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are casualties and injuries among the civilian population. Several high-rise buildings and other objects of civilian infrastructure have been destroyed or damaged.
Aviation strikes hit:
- Volfyne, Pavlivka in the Sumy region;
- Zagryzove, Borova, Slobozhanske, Vesele, Pershotravneve, Kopanky, Kolodiazi in the Kharkiv region;
- Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region;
- Umanske, Verkhniotoretske, Berdychi, Karlivka, Staromykhailivka, Vodyane, Antonivka, Katerynivka, Kurakhove, Volodymyrivka, Urozhaine, Staromayorske in the Donetsk region;
- Berezyne in the Dnipropetrovsk region;
- Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Over 110 populated areas in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.
Frontline situation
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remains largely unchanged.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in border areas and conducts sabotage activities to prevent the transfer of our troops to threatened directions.
In the Kupiansk direction and Lyman direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions.
In the Bakhmut direction, our soldiers repelled 36 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, Vyiemka, Rozdolivka, Ivanivske, Novyi, Opytne, Klishchiivka, Andriivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled 9 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Novokalynove, Novobakhmutivka, Berdychi, Tonenke, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka and Urozhainе in the Donetsk region, where the enemy attempted to break through our troops' defense 22 times.
In the Orikhiv direction, the occupiers attacked our defenders' positions 6 times in the areas of Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region and northwest of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy does not give up its intention to eliminate our units from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro. Thus, over the past day, the enemy carried out 3 unsuccessful attacks on our troops' positions.
At the same time, our soldiers continue active operations to inflict losses on the occupation forces in personnel and equipment, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line of the conflict.
Enemy losses
During the past day, the Defense Forces aviation conducted strikes on 11 areas of personnel, weaponry, and military equipment concentration, 1 command post, 2 ground control stations for drones, and 1 enemy air defense missile system.
Rocket troops units inflicted damage on 2 areas of personnel concentration and 2 enemy air defense assets.
It is worth reminding that the total number of losses for the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion amounts to 452,760 military personnel.
