Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of April 10

Over the last day, 83 combat engagements took place in the frontline. Russia attacked most of all in the Bakhmut (29 times) and Novopavlivka (28 times) directions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Over the past day, 83 combat engagements took place.
In total, Russia launched 11 missile and 108 air strikes, fired 149 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population. Many multi-story buildings and other civilian infrastructure facilities were destroyed and damaged.
Russian air strikes were carried out in:
- Kharkiv, Potykhonove, Chaikivka, Hlyboke, Ivanivka, Borova in Kharkiv region;
- Novoselivske, Tverdokhlibove in Luhansk region;
- Yampolivka, Torske, Verkhniokamianske, Chasiv Yar, Spirne, Kostiantynivka, Bila Hora, Druzhba, Kalynove, Semenivka, Novobakhmutivka, Berdychi, Netailove, Yasnobrodivka, Karlivka, Krasnohorivka, Novomykhailivka, Vodiane, Yelyzavetivka, Antonivka, Kostiantynivka, Urozhaine, Staromayorske in Donetsk region;
- Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region;
- Beryslav, Kherson region.
About 120 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions were under Russian artillery fire.
Situation at frontlines
The operational situation remains unchanged in the Volyn and Polissia directions.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, Russia maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border.
In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled three Russian attacks near Kyslivka, Ivanivka in the Kharkiv region, and Andriivka in the Luhansk region.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops repelled three Russian attacks near Terny, Donetsk region, where the Russians tried to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops.
In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 29 Russian attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region; Verkhniokamianske, Vyimka, Rozdolivka, Chasiv Yar, Novyi, Klishchiyivka, Andriivka, Donetsk region, where the Russians tried to drive Ukrainian units out of their positions.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 14 Russian attacks in the areas of Novokalynove, Berdychi, and Umanske in the Donetsk region.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back Russians in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, Vodiane, and Urozhaine, where the Russians tried to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops 28 times.
In the Orikhiv direction, the Russians attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders 5 times near Staromayorske in the Donetsk region and Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia.
In the Kherson direction, the Russians have not abandoned their intention to drive Ukrainian units from their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Thus, over the past day, he unsuccessfully attacked the positions of Ukrainian troops.
At the same time, Ukrainian soldiers continue to actively inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the Russian occupation forces, depleting the enemy along the entire front line.
Russia's losses in war against Ukraine
Over the past day, the aviation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck 15 areas of concentration of Russian personnel, weapons, and military equipment, and 2 anti-aircraft missile systems.
Ukrainian missile troops destroyed 1 area of concentration of Russian personnel and 3 occupiers' air defense systems.
