On the battlefield, there were 68 skirmishes, Ukrainian soldiers repelled Russian attacks near Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region, while the occupiers dropped bombs on the Sumy region, according to General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
During the day, 68 military clashes were recorded. In total, the enemy carried out 14 missile and 103 aviation strikes, conducted 45 artillery shelling from reactive systems of volley fire on the positions of our troops and residential areas.
As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are casualties among the civilian population. Multifamily and private houses, as well as other infrastructure objects, were destroyed and damaged.
Situation on the frontlines
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remains unchanged. There are no signs of the enemy forming offensive groups.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shells residential areas from the territory of the Russian Federation, increases the density of mines and explosive obstacles along the state border of Ukraine.
The enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of populated areas Oleksandrivka, Ponomarenky, Romankove, Velyka Pysarivka, Popivka of the Sumy region; Lyptsy, Borschyova, Vilcha of the Kharkiv region. About 30 populated areas were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar shelling, including Hirske, Kostobobriv, Khrynivka of the Chernihiv region; Seredyna-Buda, Krasnopillia, Zapsillia of the Sumy region; Veterynarne, Borysivka, Ambarne, Strilecha of the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions. Over 10 populated areas, including Synkivka, Ivanivka, and Berestove of the Kharkiv region, came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Lyman direction, our troops repelled 16 enemy attacks in the areas of populated areas Terny, Yampolivka, Rozdolivka of the Donetsk region and Bilohorivka of the Luhansk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to break through the defense of our troops.
More than 20 populated areas suffered from enemy artillery and mortar shelling, including Bilohorivka of the Luhansk region; Terny, Spirne, and Dvorichna of the Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, the Defense Forces repelled 5 enemy attacks in the areas of Bogdanivka of Ivanivsky and Klishchiivka of the Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to improve its tactical position. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the area of the populated area of New York of the Donetsk region.
About 10 populated areas were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Bogdanivka, Vasukivka, and Chasiv Yar of the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled 18 enemy attacks in the areas of Berdychiv, Orlivka, Tonenke, Pervomaiske, and Vodiane of the Donetsk region. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of Berdychiv, Keramik, Novobakhmutivka, Novokalynove, Prohres, Semenivka, and Zhelanne of the Donetsk region.
About 25 populated areas were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar shelling, including Oleksandropil, Keramik, Novobakhmutivka, and Semenivka of the Donetsk region.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Defense Forces continue to restrain the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, and Novomykhailivka of the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, attempted to break through the defense of our troops 18 times. Additionally, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of populated settlements Kostiantynivka and Urozhaine of the Donetsk region.
About 20 populated settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Paraskeviivka, and Vuhledar of the Donetsk region.
In the Orihiv direction, the enemy, with the support of aviation, attacked the positions of our defenders 6 times in the areas of Staramaiorske of the Donetsk region, Robotyne, and west of Verbovo of the Zaporizhzhia region. Additionally, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of populated settlements Vilne Pole, Storozheve, Staramaiorske of the Donetsk region, and Malynivka of the Zaporizhzhia region.
About 20 populated settlements suffered from enemy artillery and mortar shelling, including Poltavka, Rivnopil, Charivne, and Orihiv of the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the zone of responsibility of the Odesa operational-strategic group, in the Kherson direction, during the day, the enemy attempted unsuccessfully to storm the positions of our troops.
About 20 populated settlements suffered from enemy artillery and mortar shelling, including Lvove, Ivanivka, Sadove, Olhivka, and Mykolaivka of the Kherson region.
Enemy losses
During the day, the aviation of the Defense Forces struck 4 areas of concentration of personnel, weaponry, and military equipment of the enemy.
The total number of losses of the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion amounts to 427,840 military personnel.
