Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of March 3

In Ukraine, there have been 71 combat clashes on the front line over the past day. The enemy is actively storming positions in the Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Novopavlivka direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian attacks
Overall, the enemy has delivered 1 missile and 50 aviation strikes and carried out 112 shelling attacks with reactive salvo fire on the positions of our troops and settlements.
During the past day, settlements of Svesa, Sumy region; Berestove, Kharkiv region; Pivnichne, Terny, New York, Heorhiivka, Vodiane, Urozhaine, Bohoyavlenka, and Staromaiorske, Donetsk region; Verbove, Mala Tokmachka, and Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region, were subjected to aviation strikes.
Over 120 settlements of Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.
Frontline situation
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remains unchanged
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the transfer of our troops to threatening directions, and increases the density of mine-explosive obstacles along the state border in the Belgorod region.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy carried out 4 unsuccessful attacks in the area of the settlement of Tabaivka, Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman direction, the Defense Forces repelled 8 enemy attacks near the settlements of Terny and Yampolivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, our troops repelled 15 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, and Andriivka.
In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled 14 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Berdychi, Orlivka, Tonenke, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Defense Forces continued to hold back the aggressor's troops near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Pobieda, and Novomykhailivka, where the enemy attempted 25 times to break through our troops' defense.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy conducted 4 unsuccessful attacks in the area of the settlement of Robotyne and west of Novoprokopivka in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold their positions. The enemy made an unsuccessful attempt to storm in the area of the settlement of Krynka in the Kherson region.
Enemy losses
During the day, the air force of the defense forces struck 8 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down a Russian Su-34 fighter bomber.
Rocket troops units struck 1 enemy artillery weapon.
