Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of February 25

Ukrainian forces repelled 39 enemy attacks in the Maryinka direction, held their positions, and repelled assaults by occupation forces in the Kherson direction. Aviation struck 13 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
During the past day, there have been 84 combat clashes. In total, the enemy carried out 9 missile and 77 aviation strikes, as well as 119 shelling attacks using rocket artillery on the positions of our troops and civilian areas.
As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are casualties and fatalities among the civilian population. Multi-story and private houses, as well as other objects of civilian infrastructure, have been destroyed and damaged.
Aviation strikes hit:
- Ivanivka, Kharkiv region;
- Nadiia, Luhansk region;
- Zarichne, Bohdanivka, New York, Dyliivka, Oleksandrivka, Novoselivka Persha, Berdychiv, Semenivka, Novobakhmutivka, Orlivka, Paraskoviivka, Novomykhailivka, Urozhaine, Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region;
- Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Novodanilivka in Zaporizhzhia region.
More than 120 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.
Frontline situation
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remains relatively unchanged.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts sabotage activities to prevent the redeployment of our troops to threatening directions, and increases the density of mine-explosive obstacles along the state border in the Belgorod region.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy did not engage in offensive (assault) actions.
In the Lyman direction, our soldiers repelled 3 enemy attacks in the area of the settlement of Terny in the Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, the defense forces repelled 13 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Ivanivske, Klischiivka, and Andriivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled 14 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Lastochkyne, Siverne, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region.
In the Maryinka direction, the defense forces continued to hold back the enemy in the area of Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, where the enemy attempted 39 times to break through our troops' defense.
In the Novopavlivka direction, our soldiers repelled 1 enemy attack in the area south of Zolota Nyva in the Donetsk region.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the defense forces repelled 5 enemy attacks in the area of the settlement of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson direction, the defense forces continue to hold their positions and repel the assaults of the occupying forces. Despite significant losses, the enemy does not cease attempts to dislodge our units from their positions.
During the past day, the enemy made 2 unsuccessful assaults on the positions of our troops on the left bank of the Dnipro River.
At the same time, our soldiers continue active actions to inflict losses on the occupying forces in personnel and equipment, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.
Enemy losses
During the day, the defense aviation struck 13 areas of concentration of enemy personnel. Also, our defenders destroyed 2 Kh-31 missiles and 4 reconnaissance UAVs.
Missile troops units have struck 1 radar station and 2 areas of concentration of enemy personnel.
The total number of losses of the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion is 409,010 military personnel.
