Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of February 6

Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 20 enemy attacks in the Lyman direction, held positions, and repelled assaults by occupation forces in the Kherson direction. Missile forces targeted and hit 3 enemy ammunition depots, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian attacks
During the past day, there were 126 combat clashes. In total, the enemy delivered 7 missile and 35 aviation strikes, launching 90 artillery shelling attacks from multiple rocket launch systems on the positions of our forces and civilian settlements.
Due to Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are casualties among the civilian population. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have suffered destruction and damage.
Aerial strikes were reported in:
- Synkivka, Ivanivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Berestove in the Kharkiv region;
- Serebrianse forestry area in the Luhansk region;
- Serebrianka, Hryhorivka, New York, Lastochkyne, Avdiivka, Vuhledar, Staramayorsk in the Donetsk region;
- Novodarivka in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Over 110 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.
Situation at the frontlines
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in border areas, actively conducts sabotage activities to prevent the redeployment of our troops to threatening directions, and increases the density of mine-explosive barriers along the state border in the Belgorod region.
In the Kupiansk direction, our defenders repelled 8 attacks near Synkivka in the Kharkiv region, where the enemy attempted to break through the defense of our forces.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 20 enemy attacks near Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Yampolivka, Terny, Torske, and Hryhorivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, Defense Forces repelled 10 enemy attacks near the settlements of Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, and Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy, which is trying to encircle Avdiivka. Our soldiers steadfastly defend, inflicting significant losses on the invaders.
The defense forces repelled 29 enemy attacks in the vicinity of Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, and another 16 attacks south of Tonenke, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region.
In the Maryinka direction, Ukrainian soldiers continue to restrain the occupiers near Heorhiivka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, where 26 attacks were repelled.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, there were no offensive actions by the enemy.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Defense Forces repelled 2 enemy attacks in the area of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold positions and repel the assaults of the occupation forces. Despite significant losses, the enemy continues attempts to dislodge our units from occupied positions. During the past day, the enemy carried out 3 unsuccessful assault actions.
Enemy losses
At the same time, our soldiers, through active actions, inflict losses on the occupying forces in personnel and equipment, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.
During the past day, missile troops units struck at 1 personnel concentration area, 2 command posts, and 3 enemy ammunition depots.
The total number of losses for the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion is 389,560 military personnel.
