Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of February 3

There were 77 combat clashes on the front line within a day in Ukraine. Invaders continue to storm Avdiivka and surrounding settlements, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian attacks
Overall, the enemy conducted 2 missile and 86 aviation strikes, and carried out 46 shelling attacks from rocket artillery on the positions of our troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, due to Russian terrorist attacks, there are casualties and injuries among the civilian population. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have suffered destruction and damage.
During the night, Russian occupiers launched another strike using 14 UAVs of the Shahed-136/131 type. Ukrainian air defense forces successfully destroyed 9 enemy drones.
The following locations experienced aviation strikes: Okhrimivka, Budarky, Chorne, Vilkhuvatka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka, and Tabaiivka in the Kharkiv region; Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region; Terny, Klishchiivka, Bila Hora, Oleksandrivka, Novokalynove, Ocheretyne, Avdiivka, Novomykhailivka, Kostiantynivka, Vuhledar, Staryi Maiorsk in the Donetsk region; Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region; Kherson, Sablukivka, Kachkarivka, Respublikanets, Chervonyi Mayak, Zmiivka, Shliakhove, Beryslav, Mykolaivka in the Kherson region.
Over 100 populated areas in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.
Situation at the frontlines
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in border areas, actively conducts sabotage activities to prevent the redeployment of our troops to threatening directions, and increases the density of mine-explosive barriers along the state border in the Belgorod region.
In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 5 enemy attacks near Synkivka and Ivanivka in the Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman direction, the defense forces thwarted 5 attacks by occupiers in the Terny area of the Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, our soldiers repelled 2 enemy attacks near Bohdanivka and Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy, which is attempting to encircle Avdiivka. Our troops steadfastly maintain the defense, inflicting significant losses on the aggressors. Over the past day, the Defense Forces repelled 29 enemy attacks in the Avdiivka area and another 15 attacks near Pervomaiske and Nevelske in the Donetsk region.
In the Maryinka direction, defenders continue to restrain the enemy near Heorhiivka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, where 7 attacks were repelled.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, defenders repelled an attack by occupiers south of Zolota Nyva in the Donetsk region
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Defense Forces repelled 3 enemy attacks in the area of Robotyne and west of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson direction, the Defense Forces continue their efforts to expand the foothold. Despite significant losses, the enemy persists in attempting to dislodge our units from their positions. During the past day, the enemy carried out 7 unsuccessful assault actions.
Enemy losses
Over the past day, the Defense Forces aviation conducted strikes in 10 areas targeting enemy personnel, weaponry, and military equipment concentrations.
Units of the missile forces delivered strikes on 3 ammunition depots and 1 artillery piece of the enemy.
