Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of January 25

Russian attacks

During the past 24 hours, there have been 58 combat clashes. In total, the enemy delivered 6 missile strikes and 97 airstrikes, conducting 121 artillery shelling using multiple rocket launcher systems on the positions of our troops and civilian settlements.

Due to Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are casualties and injuries among the civilian population. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have suffered destruction and damage.

The following locations experienced airstrikes:

• Zemlyanyi Yar, Zybyne, Krasne Pershe, Tabaiivka, Pishchane in the Kharkiv region;
• Serebrianske Forestry, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region;
• Chasiv Yar, Predtechyne, Semenivka, Avdiivka, Severne, Maksymilianivka, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, Vodyane, Vuhledar, Staryi Mykhailiv, Rivnopil in the Donetsk region;
• Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region;
• Kachkarivka, Respublikanets, Chervonyi Mayak, Zmiivka, Novoberislav in the Kherson region.

Over 100 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.

Situation at the frontlines

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.

In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in border areas, actively conducts sabotage activities to prevent the redeployment of our troops to threatening directions, and increases the density of mine-explosive barriers along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the Kupiansk direction, our defenders repelled 6 enemy attacks near Synkivka in the Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers thwarted 4 attacks by occupiers near Terny, east of Dibrova in the Donetsk region, and another 5 attacks in the areas of Makiivka and Serebrianske Forestry in the Luhansk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, Defense Forces repelled 7 enemy attacks near Vasiukivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivka, and Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to restrain the enemy, which does not abandon attempts to encircle Avdiivka. Our soldiers hold the defense steadfastly, inflicting significant losses on the invaders.

Defense forces repelled 4 enemy attacks in the Avdiivka area and another 8 attacks near Pervomaiske and Nevelske in the Donetsk region over the past day.

In the Maryinka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to restrain the occupiers near Heorhiivka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, where 9 attacks were repelled.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, our defenders repelled 2 enemy attacks south of Zolota Nyva and east of Staryi Mykhailiv in the Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, our soldiers repelled an enemy attack in the area of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Kherson direction, the defense forces continue efforts to expand the foothold. Despite significant losses, the enemy does not cease attempts to dislodge our units from their positions. Over the past day, the enemy launched 7 unsuccessful assaults on the positions of Ukrainian troops.

At the same time, our soldiers continue active actions to inflict losses on the occupying forces in personnel and equipment, wearing down the enemy along the entire front line.

Enemy losses

During the day, the Air Force of the Defense Forces struck 6 areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment.

Rocket forces units targeted 1 area of concentration of enemy personnel.

It is worth noting that the total number of losses in the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion is 378,660 military personnel.
