Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnipro, repelling Russian attacks near Novobakhmutivka (Donetsk region) and hitting an enemy ammunition depot, according to data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian shelling continues

Despite significant losses, the Russian Federation persists in its aggressive war, refusing to abandon plans for the complete occupation of Ukraine. The adversary continues to flout laws and customs of war, employing terror tactics, and striking both military and civilian targets.

The enemy actively utilizes operational-tactical aviation and FPV-type quadcopters, undertaking assault operations supported by armored vehicles. Throughout the day, the adversary conducted 3 aviation strikes and carried out 16 rocket artillery shelling on our troops' positions and civilian settlements.

Regrettably, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries. Private residences and other civilian infrastructure have suffered destruction and damage due to the assaults.

Situational report from the frontlines

The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains challenging, with 56 clashes reported in the last 24 hours.

On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, the operational situation remains relatively stable, with no significant changes observed. There are no signs of the formation of offensive groups. Identified units of the Armed Forces of Belarus are carrying out tasks in border areas with Ukraine.

On the Siversk and Slobozhanske fronts, the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shells settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of mine-explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine.

Over 20 populated areas, including Klyusy, Leonivka in the Chernihiv region; Halyshivske, Sadky, Zapsillia, Stepok, Yizdetske in the Sumy region; Vovchansk, Bochkove, Budarky in the Kharkiv region, have been shelled by enemy artillery and mortars.

On the Kupiansk front, the Defense Forces repelled 2 enemy attacks in the area of Synkivka, the Kharkiv region, where the enemy attempted to break through our troops' defense. About 10 populated areas, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Berestove in the Kharkiv region, came under artillery and mortar fire.

On the Lyman front, Ukrainian defenders repelled 6 enemy attacks in the areas of Makiivka in the Luhansk region and east of Terniv in the Donetsk region, where the enemy sought to improve tactical positions.

More than 15 populated areas, including Nevskoe, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, and Torske, Serebrianka, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region, were affected by enemy artillery and mortar shelling.

On the Bakhmut front, the Defense Forces repelled an enemy attack in the area of Klishchiivka, the Donetsk region. Over 10 populated areas, including Vasiukivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, New York in the Donetsk region, came under artillery and mortar fire.

On the Avdiivka front, our defenders repelled 9 enemy attacks in the areas of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka, and another 16 attacks in the areas of Pervomaiske and Nevelske in the Donetsk region, where the enemy unsuccessfully attempted to improve tactical positions.

About 15 populated areas, including Novokalynove, Berdychiv in the Donetsk region, and Avdiivka, Vodiane, Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region, were affected by enemy artillery and mortar shelling.

On the Maryinka front, the Defense Forces continue to restrain the enemy in the areas of Heorhiivka, Maryinka, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, where the enemy made 10 attempts to break through our troops' defense.

Populated areas in the Donetsk region such as Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maksymilianivka, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka, and Kostiantynivka were under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

On the Shakhtarsk front, the enemy did not conduct offensive (storming) actions. Over 10 populated areas, including Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Urozhaine, Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region, were shelled by enemy artillery and mortars.

On the Zaporizhzhia front, our defenders repelled 2 enemy attacks in the area west of Verbovе in the Zaporizhzhia region, where the enemy unsuccessfully tried to regain lost ground.

About 20 populated areas, including Levadne, Malynivka, Huliapole, Piatykhatky, and Kamianske in the Zaporizhzhia region, were affected by enemy artillery and mortar shelling.

In the area of responsibility of the Odesa operational-strategic group on the Kherson front, enemy artillery shelling was recorded in Beryslav, Kherson, Stanislav in the Kherson region, and Solonchaky in the Mykolaiv region. The enemy also carried out shelling with multiple launch rocket systems in the areas of populated places: Tiahynka, Ivanivka, Krynyky, Veletenske in the Kherson region.

Advance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces

The enemy persists in its intention to eliminate our units from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro River.

Indeed, over the past day, the adversary carried out three unsuccessful assault operations on the positions of our forces. However, our units continue to hold the occupied positions and inflict significant losses on the enemy.

Enemy losses

During the day, the Defense Forces' aviation conducted strikes on two areas of concentration of enemy personnel.

Missile units targeted two areas with concentrations of enemy personnel, weaponry, and military equipment, one command post, and one ammunition depot.

The total number of losses for the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion amounts to 367,620 military personnel.
